In case anyone's watching on TV(I wont mention teams or result)in one of the games today the result was decided in the 7th minute of extra time.
Not a drama except the teams were supposed to change ends after 5 mins.
This could of had a major influence on the result.
One coach will not be happy.

Not good when a game that is exciting will come under speculation. I thought Souths were deemed to go through to a 20 pt win after 50 mins.

There was also some talk on 2GB that Russo's kick was successful. I don't know. I haven't seen it.

Games don't get much closer than that, and It is probably the longest time frame since the Golden pt was brought in.

Personally, I would like to see that both teams receive a point each, yet the winner of the golden point receives an extra bonus point for achieving the final victory. Having been on the wrong end of a golden point ruling, I know how it feels, and 1 pt is better than zero.

I don't think 3 competition points for a win is a good idea personally.

But f**k!! They are supposed to change ends after 5 minutes are they not? I didn't know what the hell was going on and I think others also at the SFS were confused. If they were then Lyons (we was the ref wasn't he?) is a complete fvckwit if he doesn't know the rules and should be gone. We shoulda won....... *sigh* :(

won???...bullshit!!!...did you watch the game???..as for the golden point, both teams had to deal with the situation & souths dealt with it better, get over it, its going to be a common occurence...teams drawing & this happening, geez souths losing to a stacey jones drop goal last year was devastating, just good to see it works both ways!! :D

tigers were hard done by, if the teams changed sides then it could have been a different story, although souths were in control

Luke MacDougall scored that try.

What does that issue have to do with the other????

Doogie jnr's try was a 50/50,could have gone either way.

The plain fact is that we would have got the ball back and had a rest.I wonder if the first half had gone for 48 minutes and the tigers had scored if Souths would have protested.

Its a HUGE stuffup.

Luke try was fair,

It should have been 22-6 and game over.

no it wasen't a try it was deemed as a tackle and he didn't play the ball that's why it was no try cuz he dosen't know the rules LANGMACK GIVE EM THE BOOK

What happened was a monuemental stuff up. To say it affected the outcome of the game probably is unfair but it certainly affected the flow of the game.

Oh and that Dooges try, i was certain it would be given, perhaps i was wrong? Still Tigers blew a try through wilson and not to forget the conversion hitting the post. Tigers and Souths could both have added to that score really......still as guttering as this loss was it was a very entertainging game.

Why worry about something your not going to be able to change .
Better off spending the time getting the team going as they havent set the world on fire in there last 2 games . Should not be in a golden point situation with Souths if playing to there ability.

That's a rather silly comment clives.

Whether you lose by a FG or a Try, you still lose. How could it have been worse?

No one is saying that Souths should be penalised but Wests were ripped off.

Simple.
