man that was appalling. absolute rubbish. There is something wrong with this raiders outfit. One week they look decent, the next like a bunch of 8 year old girls. Where do you start to dissect after a performance like that?

1. Zillman - quiet...didnt get going
2. Colin Best - that bloke was an absolute turnstile on the fringes. 3/4 tries were on account of him coming in to make a tackle and the ball getting tossed to the winger for a try. I thought when we got rid of howell we got rid of that sort of garbage
3. Graham - too quiet, had a poor game by his standards
4. Purtell - best of the backs, played solidly at best
5. Kelly - quiet-crap
6 - Carney - poor game by his standards, lacked any organisation and formation.
7 Dobson - this bloke had an absolute shocker. contributed nothing

IN SHORT THE BACKS WERE POOR, WITH THE OUTSIDE BACKS EITHER DIABOLICAL OR TOO QUIET.

8- Logan - played solidly, was one of the raiders best
9 - Withers - like Logan, was one of the only ones who didnt disgrace themselves. he was the only one who looked even remotely like creating anything
10. - weyman - poor guy got injured, pray to god its nothing too serious though i fear the worst. was ok when on
11 - turner - started ok but then fizzeld and joined the rabble
12 - jones - crap!
13 - tongue - poor game

14 - tilse - looked ok in patches but some stupid errors
15 - thompson - good return, gavea little bit of spark to the forwards but then fizzeld a bit
16 - TLL - looked ok
17 - dunneman - inconsequential

IN SHORT THE FORWARDS WERE QUIET/OK/INCONSEQUENTIAL. I THINK THOUGH I AM BEING LENIENT AS A RAIDERS FAN OVER THE YEARS I HAVE BECOME SATISFIED BY MEDIOCRITY

This was disgraceful, i cant even remember who made all the errors but i assure you there were plenty. The game descended into a circus in the second half as both teams looked l,ike a bunch of fairies. this was their worst game so far this season, and that is saying something.

But the report you've posted above about all the errors and how pathetic isnt quite needed.
We already know the boys played poor footy, so why single out players you thought played good and played bad.

Withers played well? he threw dumb balls all night - pushing passes, didn't run, the guy played crap..... then you say Tongue play poor?????

Agreed, Withers was sh*thouse and I'm not usually critical of him. The few times we had a crack at the Sharks line all Withers could do was throw predictable short balls to forwards. His service in general was ordinary.

I think the most telling stat from the night was line beaks "0"!!!!. That must be some kind of record. I would like to see us get specialists in to the back 3 positions for a start. Zillman is not a full back and should be replaced by Goodwin ASAP. Kelly is not a winger and should either swap with Graham (has played a lot of wing in the past) or find another wing option like Milne or Howell. Whilst Best is a specialist, I can't believe how bad he is defensively. I also don't like the make up of the side when Withers, Tongue & Dunneman are in the 17 from a size perspective. 2 of them but not 3.

Carney was not himself and was obviously carrying some type of injury or has been reading his own press. I thought Dobson had his worst game last night but considering our go forward, not totally unexpected. I also have concerns for TLL, he certainly doesn't look the same player, physically, that he was last year and doesn't look to have 100% confidence in his knee. He did get a lot of game time however and might benefit from that.

On a positive note thought Thommo went quite well and whilst we look like losing Weyman we look to have able cover in the front row.

Give our depth in back row, I wouldn't mind seeing players like Tongue given a week off here and there to freshen up. I know he is the captain etc but there are others that could cover.

Our halves and forwards were the main problem, the backs can't do much if the forwards keep knocking on and the halves put in bad kicks.

Yeah I hope he just keeps battling the injuries he is still very young. The injury last night wasn't one of those typical Weyman brittleness injuries though, anyone would've been broken in that tackle.

Hang in there guys it WILL get better, i have been through this a lot with the sharks.
At least you guys have won 3-4 comps sure beats our nil.
As gibbo used to say comps are won in september not april.

Weere carrying a lot of niggle from the last game, was it 5 concussions? Zilly didn't look right but was solid last night, Write it off and move forward, if we win 2 in every 5 we'll finish on 22 points and I for one will be happy with that in such a rebuilding year with so many inexperienced players.

i said if we won 4 of our first 10 games id be happy, that gives us 2 wins from the next 4 and ill be happy as i think our last 15 rounds is when we'll really start to show some consistancy

I didnt think it was that bad. Sharks defended really well. Our guys had no penetration and carney didnt take on the line as much as i expected him to. Zillman was solid but just doesnt add the spark i thought he would. Its not panic stations yet imo.

I think henry should definately keep brett kelly in FG, his a solid kinda bloke with a bit of speed and doesnt back down.
He should be moved into the centres and graham might play his best footy on the wing.

There was nothing wrong with Zillman last night, he's still attacking the ball on kick returns and that was his biggest issue. Goodwin is unproven in first grade therefore I see no reason to make such a dramatic change.

kelly imo is a good player.
His kick returns and darts from dummy half are pritty solid.
But he should shift to centre and graham might be a handful on the wing imo.

No reason to drop him at all

Graham needs to be in the centres. If anyone should be replaced there it is Purtell, hes hardly proven.
