If Anderson gets his finger out and starts coaching properly then the Sharks will have no worries about finishing last. Their recruitment for 2004 alone should see them climb up the table.

Souths are specials to retain it, still lots of problems there. Manly on paper look good, but I expect Dessie Hasler to get the boys up enough weeks to avoid the spoon.

The Tigers have made a couple of decent signings in the last few months as have the Sharks.
This should probably lift them out of spoon contention.

So, I think either Souths or Manly... most likely Souths.

In all serious Cassie, who do you think will get the spoon?

Tigers:

1. Brett Hogdson
2. Pat Richards
3. Dene Halatau
4. John Wilson
5. Luke Covell
6. Ben Reynolds
7. Scott Prince
13. Scott Satter
12. Ben Galea
11. Mark O'Neill (c)
10. John Skandalis
9. Robbie Farah
8. Todd Payten
-------------------------
14. Benji Marshall
15. Anthony Laffranchi
16. Nick Graham
17. Grey Viane
-------------------------

I think that Souths probably have it wrapped up, but Manly IMO havent improved much at all. The Sharks should do alot better and the Tiger shave bought well, but shouldnt expect instant success, although i believe they will make the 8.

I think Cronulla and the Tigers should be right, Manly and Souths I don't see moving to far. Possibly next season we could see another team do a Cronulla and plummet from the top 8 down to the cellar, so maybe Canterbury  or one other.

But I'm going for a dark horse and saying the Eels will continue their downfall. And before all the parra supporters start with their juvenile response, take a look at your team and their signings and ask yourself are you honestly expecting a massive turnaround next year.

i can't see souths not getting the spoon again next year although my pick for the spoon is parramatta - they came close to getting it this year before finally deciding to pick up their act and probrably will next year.

although... how many people had written off melbourne before the year started and look where we are now!!!

and there could of course be another salary cap scandal possibly involving one of the big 4 and this would ensure that they would finish bottom! how funny would it be to see a newcastle, brisbane or sydney finish last!?

Drop Martenee out of that Souths team straight away, he's just dead wood. Give some up and coming talent a chance!
