Doing the pool three years out is a joke. They would have been better to do the pools the same way soccer does theirs. Winner and host get automatically in then its based on the rankings over the last 4 years.

well England, Australia, New Zealand, France, South Africa, Scotland, Ireland and Wales are like in it definatly because theyre like miles better than the rest, so its up to the rest to qualify.
the soccer world cup pools are done on continental tournaments before the proper one, and theres not anough countries who actually play rugby to do that. the soccer pool thingys are done 2 years before the world cup anyway (this summer )

95 countries look set to play in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. We had Arabian Gulf beat some other team 13-7 a month or 2 back.
