Worst halves in Kiwi/Kangaroo history?

91 Test in Melbourne

Clayton Friend was playing in Auckland
Gary Freeman was playing reserve grade for Balmain.

Where as both Kiwi halves this time have been playing First Grade all year and half of the year.

That's a very very poor effort mate, Clayton Friend was a very good Kiwi and Gary Freeman was one of the best ever!

To be honest I can't imagine a crappier quartet of halves being possible.

Vagana- Not a stand-off
Leuluai- Barely 18 and a mediocre player at best
Wing- Played all year at hooker
Kimmorley- Very dubious selection

Is this the worst foursome of halves in Kiwi Vs Kangaroo history?

Well, Leuluai certainly showed he is a talent for the future. Looks like a good kid to me, plays the role the coach gives him - which for the Warrior when Jones was playing was a distributor. In the Kiwis he was superb.

Vagana is class, and didn't really play standoff.

Wing tried hard, but is more effective at hooker.

Kimmorley, who although a dubious selection, was the only frontline experienced half playing in his regular position - poor defence, poor handling, and his reknowned  kicking game - well he managed to find a part time fullback (playing on one leg) very accurately. But no doubt Chris Anderson will say Kimmorley played well and continue to play him ahead of Gower -= the Poms will love that.
