I'm looking at buying 'Monday Night Wars', since it appears to be the only decent DVD covering the history behind wrestling. I've also made plans to get 'The Rise and Fall of ECW'.

Has anyone sees these? Would you recommend them?

What about others? Are there any other DVDs providing history and/or highlights? I'm not looking for PPV DVDs, unless they cover the history of a certain PPV or something.

Yeh Rise And Fall of ECW is awesome, i saw it not too long ago, as for recommendation, Rey Mysterio: 619 DVD is awesome, RVD: One Of A Kind is really really good, some great matches between him and Sabu and Jerry Lynn on there, and Hardy Boyz: Leap Of Faith also has some great matches, so go out and get them..

It's a bit dated now, however it is a good watch, Jake the Snake was the saddest segment on the show though, as his life is so...depressing and Mick Foley got a lot of respect for me out of this documentry as he really comes off as a normal nice guy.

Yes, that was real sad about Jake the Snake. It also added new meaning to know what the families of the wrestlers go through. Really strong stuff, it brings the whole reality to wrestling out into the light.

Dammit, I need to get broadband.

I bought 'The Rise and Fall of ECW' last night for $30, which I thought was a pretty good price. Even Amazon would have cost me a little more than that. Was rivetted. What an amazing documentary. I never knew much about ECW, but now that I've seen 'Rise and Fall', I realise why it had such a cult following.
