WTF!- Club Song

What the FUG has happened to the club song.

They changed the words and its stupid.

Not any more-

The words on the screen and on the PA were something like (bit foggy by then)

the name of the Team is you.

WTF it doesn't even make sense.

Can someone please tell me what is going on before I offload both barrels at the club for this crime against humanity, and destruction of our historical fabric. :evil: :evil: :evil:

At one stage last year they were showing

either way, its a terrible line, that barely makes any sense.

it should be 'we're all depending on you' but, its not.

well when i was lad ( :roll: ) it was definitely 'boys in the black and blue' and i thought 'name of the sharks IS you' but everybody always sang 'we're all depending on you' which is much, much better.

I have always know there to be 2 versions of the song. I think the older version includes the 'WE'RE ALL DEPENDING ON YOU' line. While the newer version I have been familiar with in the last 5-10 years includes in the 'NAME OF THE SHARKS FITS YOU' line in its place.

in the Sharks book their is a chapter on the club song and it definitely says

We're all depending on you!

I have never ever been aware of another version( which doesn't mean anything- but.)

so what do we do-

one club, one song, their should only be ONE version.

So...????

Yeah there are two versions.
The original was "Name of the Sharks fits you" & then somewhere around the late '70's it changed to "We're all depending on you".
Then when they started using it again in the '90's after all those crap team songs we had in the 80's & 90's they reverted back to the original which is the one they play now.Which I've always thought was the correct one 'cause that's the version they released in the mid-70's on the record which I still have.

PS: How pissed was Steve Rogers at the presentation !!!
