I dont think WT woudl release Laurie on thier own initiative however, if Laurie gets tired of being sidelined, dropped and 'never good enough' he may look elsewhere and request a release- in that case I suspect WT would grant it- no point in keeping a player who does not want to play.

If that happens- then Teflon & co should be dragged along the Hume Hwy by their nuts and be held accountable for the games they continue to play with player development.

As a general comment I do not think Laurie has developed well since the raw player we saw last year- what has happened?

You feel that there's something going on there between Shames and the Great Daine. Daine's performances haven't been the best lately. He hasn't really kicked on. Maybe it's because of his discipline. Another talent gone to the WT scraps. He is too sluggish for my liking, still abit raw, needs to improve his legspeed, but he won't do that in Park footy.

I love what Laurie brings to the team, but like I said, if he is a mate of Mundine's I'd be happy to see him elsewhere. The bloke is f**king poison and he is the last person any player needs in his ear.

As a Souths supporter, I'd love him to come to Souths but this is the first I have heard of it and there are some pretty good ears to the ground at Souths on this forum, let alone elsewhere.

This weeks omission from Fgrade is a horses for courses thing, Sheens thinks the cowboys will target him and run their little men at him all day. As for his form this year no better or worse than any other players in the team.Sheens expects big things from him in 2010 after a full offseason and I would be suprised if theiris anything going on behind the scenes that have caused him to be dropped.

I think you are right, s_c. There was some commentary after the earlier Cows game (round 2 or 3?) with Sheens saying he wasn't up to the speed of a Cows v Tigers game. Fair enough. But honestly, if we're out of contention, we should be putting Laurie into every game we can and telling him to make the most of his experience and make us want him for 2010. As I recall, his contract included an option in the club's favour for next year.

Going to Souths is a very quick way to kill his career, i cant think of anyone in recent times that has acheived anything at that joint. As for the man! U are 100 % right ,he is a cancer surrounded by leeches disgiused as freinds and managers .
