Really disappointed I didn't watch it, Sunday night games are just too hard to catch sometimes.
A win against Spurs is huge, they always seem to have our number.

Thought Spurs had the game won until the stuff up that led to the Downing goal.
Its been a long time since the opposition had more shots at goal than us at home.(when we've had a full side on the park).
May of been a touch unlucky that they were level at half time.
Finally we are getting penalties at home which is always a sign the teams on the up.Bit lucky to get this one
Pity we can't covert them at the same rate as other sides but Gerrard put today's one away superbly.
Jones in goal doesn't inspire a lot of confidence either.

Didn't think we'd be seeing him again this season after that disaster game vs Oldham

As far as number two goalkeepers go Brad Jones is the not worst by far,
I agree he doesn't inspire confidence especially at set piece but I think thats an
issue for the entire team at the minute.

Liverpool books MCG date with Melbourne Victory

BY:RAY GATT From: The Australian April 02, 2013 9:13PM

THE Victorian Government will tomorrow officially confirm that English giant Liverpool will play in Melbourne in July.

The Reds will play A-League club Melbourne Victory at the MCG on July 24 in front of a crowd officials believe will be in excess of 80,000.

The match will come four days after Manchester United play an A-League All Stars selection at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Liverpool's visit, first mooted in January, will be part of its preparation for next season's Premier League.

The Reds, currently in seventh spot in this season's EPL, will also play a game in Bangkok on July 28 as part of a tour of Asia.

LFC announce first visit to Australia

Liverpool FC will make history this summer by visiting Australia for the first time after the club announced today that it would play in Melbourne as part of a 2013 pre-season tour presented by Standard Chartered.

The Reds will take on A-League side Melbourne Victory on Wednesday, July 24 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Tickets go on general sale on Thursday, April 11 at 9am and can be purchased from www.ticketek.com.

Today's announcement follows news that Liverpool will visit Thailand for the fourth time as part of the same summer tour.

Liverpool's visit to Melbourne is just one element of a programme of activity - on and off the pitch - that the club is delivering in 2013 to bring Australian fans closer to the team.

As well as a full LFC squad, the club will be bringing over staff from the Liverpool FC Foundation to carry out work in the community throughout the visit whilst an official LFC Facebook page has been launched exclusively for Australian fans to complement an official LFC Australia and New Zealand Twitter account - @LFCANZ - launched in January.

Ian Ayre, Liverpool FC managing director, said: "This will be the first time that the club has visited Australia to play a match and we are delighted to be playing against Melbourne Victory, one of the most successful clubs in the A-League.

"We know we have a large fan base in Australia and New Zealand and this visit shows our commitment to bringing the club closer to our fans all over the globe, no matter how far away from Anfield they may live. We are very much looking forward to playing in Melbourne and giving our supporters a chance to see the team up close."

Anthony Di Pietro, Melbourne Victory chairman, said: "Liverpool is one of the most famous clubs on the planet and the fact that they've opted to play Melbourne Victory on their first ever tour to Australia is great recognition for our club and the progress we've made in our short history.

"This truly is a momentous occasion for not only football fans, but sport fans in general, and where better to host such an event than one of the world's most iconic sporting arenas - the Melbourne Cricket Ground."

Allen Clennar, CEO of Standard Chartered Australia, said: "We are proud to sponsor Liverpool Football Club and their tour of Asia and Australia. Our clients and customers all across Asia are very much looking forward to the tour matches in the region."

Football Federation Australia (FFA) CEO David Gallop said the Melbourne Victory versus Liverpool match would be a 'marquee occasion that will excite football fans across Australia'.

"Liverpool is a famous and hugely popular club, but they will find that Melbourne Victory has built an amazing following in just eight seasons," he said.

"The match will showcase all that's good about the Hyundai A-League after the best-ever season for the standard of play, big crowds and record TV ratings."

Well we know what everyone will be talking about today.Suarez has to go.He is a great talent but he is one of the most stupid footballers going around. No excuses he has to be punted.
Rodgers team selection has to be questioned too.
We should always play 2 strikers at home unless we are playing for a draw.If Kenny had a year like this everyone would be calling for his head but the amount of games we have given points away is ridiculous.
It really has been a what if season starting from the moment Rogers arrived.
He gets the benefit of the doubt for this year but if next year is a repeat he has to go too.

I can understand why you are reluctant to sell Suarez, you never know when it might come back to bite you on the arse. :sarcasm:

Sell him?

Give him the ultimatum- do anything like that again and he's gone. Man United kept Cantona despite his indiscretions...

Suarez's last match for Ajax was when he bit a player.

Never jumped on the hate Suarez bandwagon before but that was well and truely f**ked.

Watching the MLS game this morning and the commentators were having a laugh saying how Mike Tyson follows Suarez on twitter and appreciating the irony of that.

No idea if true, but funny nonetheless..
