isn't it surprising not one of the games have sold out for the union world cup, with such quality matches between powerhouses Georgia VS UruGuay

i did watch a bit of the netball world cup

i thought it had already been on

hmmm and how many of the League World cup games were sold out ? I think I can be pretty positive that league didn’t even get to 500K of sold tickets let alone 1M. In fact in some of the games I am sure you could count the amount of spectators on both hands if you could see them in those empty stadiums :).

Keep throwing those stones boys they just keep breaking your own glasshouses :)

I reckon as part of the yawnion world cup they should have a game dedicated to how the 'kick and clap' loving French government nearly killed a once-popular rugby league off in France. A class act that yawnion code.

You know how the yawnion love nostalgia and that.

   I find it hilarious how anti union people bring this up time and again. When did this happen? 70 years ago? In France? get over it. I'm sure union's current administrators have got a lot in common with that bunch

You criticise union's administrators for wanting to expand their game? Isn't that their job? As for the person who mentioned the lack of ticket sales at the RWC, have a look at league, despite earlier reports only 1 semifinal over the weekend got sold out. It was a blessing in disguise that the NRL were forced to move the dogsv warriors game to a smaller venue.

Already over 1.6m have been sold, and I think when the tournament hits in a months time people are going to start buying like crazy, seriously, just like with the Sydney olympics.

I think the tournament will sell about 2m tickets for sure. So probably 30 games will sellout.

Nothing like riping the heart out of Welsh rugby was it. Its funnny how league lives in the past. You have been professional for over a hundred years and how many countries can say that league is a series sport in their country 4 ? instead you pick one country as the reason that league never developed world wide. Yes captain Cook the world ends at Frances boarder we cant try another country who might be more receptive to our code.

Move on its nearly 2004.

It's not like Yawnion is anymore worldwide.

More receptive? The French were VERY receptive of RL! Unti the underhanded scumbag Vichy Government went and raped RL of all its assets, a HUGE playing base and much, much more. It's funny the double standards Yawnion fans have - one minute they're all nostalgia yet when they see the truth they instantly become anti!

That such a weak reply. Of course Union is more world wide, as big a sport as soccer of course not. Bigger than league definitly.

Who siad anything about being anti ?? who siad that my soul loyalty was to Union I love both codes I am not so narrow minded to like just one.

I was trying to point out that there is just as much mud in both camps but league always tries to take the high ground when they have flung just as much mud as the other code and always looks to the past to prove a point. The atrocities happened over 100 yrs ago which no one has disputed and to one country it was not world wide, move on.

As I understand it, mungo league is such a great game that with 100 years of professionalism it has not dominatd the east coast of Australia or the north of England. Rugby has been proffessional for eight years and is about to stage the third biggest sporting tournament on earth. Please ex[lain the significance of mungo ball.
MANGO.

WRONG!

Serveral games have sold out, notably the ones at Aussie Stadium. I know as I tried to get tickets and the sold out in-wait for it-15 minutes.

And additionally, I don't ever believe anyone claiming Georgia and Uraguay were powerhouses. But how else would you suggest the game be developed in those nations?
