What was the go with repeated penalties when Tigers were in Dragons attacking twenty? The Dragons could have done that all day and shut down every play with a penalty and nothing would have happened. The ref would have blown the whistle and the Tigers would have prepared for another set, given that they were too far behind for two points to make the difference. Shouldn't repeat offences in the opposition twenty result in a sin binning or something?
Maybe the Refs and the NRL need to play more a Union style rule and let the play continue THEN call the penalty... Example if a side want to be offside then the ref would signal advantage play is going to take place " by using a hand signal " and if the side who is disadvantaged fails to score then the play comes back for the original penalty ? rather than just stopping play and momentum and giving a penalty to prevent a try " which is what the defending team meant to do by comitting the offence in the first place" did that make sense ?
Hmmmm so what would an appropriate hand signal be ??
