To all those who have been viewing and contributing to the thread re: Newtown Juniors A Grade over the past week or so thanks for your contributions and views, but I think its getting out of hand.
My point was not to denegrate the NJJs or the job they do, but to air some problems in the senior side and call people to action.
Unfortunately its snowballed in the wrong direction and I feel we need to keep it in check.
Further to this after a long discussion with Jets officials after yesterdays game (well Redfern forfeited, but that is a different story altogether) it appears a resolution may be at hand.
Let me reiterate my point that the NJJ do a terrific job providing a family based club for a local community with many diverse elements. Kids as young as 4 get the chance to learn new skills, stay fit, meet new friends and were the proud blue N of Newtown. I'm proud to be a part of the club and the process that enables these kids to play. I only call for change at the top so that we don't damage that which people have worked so hard to build, as long as protecting the guys playing at the top level from injury, dissapointment and the wooden spoon.
I'll be sure to keep you updated on the progess made at the Jets, as I know so many of you are keen (both for the fans and those with personal vendettas) to know what goes on.
