Saw this game on a forum i look out and thought it would be fun to do here with you guys

basically how it works is the opening post poses a question, it can be about any NFL related matter you like, FA, depth chart, fantasy football, nfl draft, front office... what ever you like

the next poster answers the question and justifies why. Then poses their own question/scenario

Eg. If you're a team with a need at WR, would you take on TO?

I think i would, if i had a team capable of winning now and being in the hunt at play off times but i lacked depth at WR position, id bring him in on a one year deal, and as long as he assured me he was happy with the role he was going to play, id give him a go.
He is a diva but on a one year deal, if he acts out of line, you cut, no harm, no foul but if like last year, he kind of just shuts up and plays, he puts up numbers.

You're Mike McCarthy, who are you starting a top your depth chart at RB - Ryan Grant or James Starks

Im Mike McCarthy and i start Ryan Grant at the top of the depth chart.
Firstly, pre injury Grant was a good back in the league. now fit i would expect him to be back near his best. he had surgery in september and has had plenty of time to heal.
Secondly Starks had 1 good game in the playoffs vs the eagles. the rest were kinda so so. i would go with the more prove player to start the season and see where things were at after a few weeks. Starks will share the load this season though.

You are John Fox.
Given the distraction of Tebow/Orton, should you trade Tebow to a team desperate for something at QB for a need/Draft pick.

I am John Fox. You keep both and trade/cut Orton after this season (and his $9 million salary) and give Tebow time with the first string team. Orton could possibly traded by the week 6 deadline if he is flatlining. I know EFX want to win now but I see this as a rebuilding year and a chance to fine tune Tebow's problem areas, such as his throwing action and improving his reads and checkdowns.

I am coach Belicheck and I have Brady and Mallett as QB's on the roster. Do I start to think of the future a la Bledsoe/Brady ten years ago or do I stick solid with Brady knowing he is on $18 million but aging and you have a worthy successor waiting in the wings and a QB who gives you the chance to keep the franchise on top for another ten years?

I'm Bill Belichick. I stick with Brady and let Mallett be groomed just like Cassel was for at least a year. Hoyer, the 2nd string seems to be decent and will be backup this year but will look to give him some game time and hopefully trade him to another team looking for a QB competition or decent backup.

If Hoyer can't get game time then keep him another year at the most.

I'm the Titans back office staff. Do I pay Chris Johnson?

Im the Titans back office and i cant pay him quickly enough. He's easily the 2nd best back in the league, he's the focal point of my entire offense and he's the face of my franchise. He's my guy and i gotta pay him like my guy. I dont want to make him the leagues highest paid RB, because i think the deal should fall behind that of Peterson, but i make him a very rich man, and ultimately i cant afford him to miss much more time in camp. We want to win, and to do that, CJ is the man.

You're Rex Ryan, are you going to open the play book yet for Sanchez, or continue to play conservatively and lean on the D and run game?

I'm Rex Ryan and I do open up the playbook in the 3rd year for my young QB. I believe Sanchise is much maligned and always turns up in huge games. He has already won the most games for ANY QB on the road in play-offs. He has been successful as a rookie but has struggled with consistency. He came from behind in 5 gmes last year to win games for the Jets. I believe he is now a leader of this team and is ready to step up.

I'm Jim Harbough, do I start with Colin Kaepernick and risk his development, or do I stick with a vet in either Alex Smith or the recently brought in Daunte Caulpepper?

Because no question was asked I'm going to ask answer the last one myself.

I'm Rex Ryan and I look at Sanchez, then I look at the other two QB's taken in the first round of that Draft. I see Matt Stafford, who is so good that his body is unable to keep itself attached to his arm for long periods of time. If he can keep injury free he has opposing defenses at his mercy. I then take a look at Josh Freeman. The kid is a born leader, he's shown he can succeed without ridiculous weapons at his disposal and already has 9 4th Quarter comebacks, how is that possible?

I then look at Sanchez's stats from last season and compare them to Freemans.

Freeman:
61.4% Completion Percentage
3,451 Yards
25 TD's
6 INT's

Sanchez:
54.8% Completion Percentage
3,291 Yards
17 TD's
13 INT's

you better believe i'm mad as hell. I've surrounded this guy with some decent weapons but he can't flippin win me an AFC Championship game. I go to sleep every night second guessing my decision to draft this kid ahead of Freeman, and in answering the question, I don't have a choice. I have to give Sanchez complete control of this offense. I do everything in my power to bring in Josh McDaniels or someone with elite experience at coaching QB's.

Question: I'm the Niners coach/Head Office, what do I do at QB and with my OL?

EDIT: Dammit Mick!

I'm Jim Harbough and I watch Colins development. My first instinct would be to leave Alex Smith in the game and let Colin learn from Alex and a former great QB in Culpepper, when the time is right, install Colin, however the future is the most important thing to this organisation.

You are Al Davis, Randy Moss comes to you and says he will sign with you for a reduced cost. Despite the fact you have glaring holes at WR, you remember Randy's time in Oakland where he regularly gave up on routes and a lot of the time didn't even try. Would you sign him?

I sign Randy up because he's s star in the league. and i like players that can stretch the field. With Randy, Darren and Darius around the QB we will be unstoppable. and when have i ever been wrong on anything ever?
16-0. Just Win Baby

You are Norv Turner.
Every year the chargers start slow and last year you missed the playoffs with the #1 rated Defense and Offense. How are you going to make sure the chargers are above .500 after the first 6 weeks?

I am Norv Turner and I absolutely blew my load when I found out kick-offs started at the 35 yard line. TOUCHBACKS BABY! But in all honesty I make sure that our special teams unit is on the ball And i give my starters good decent time in pre-season to be sharp.

I am Mike Shanaghan. What the f**k am I doing at QB?

I am Mike Shanahan and I aim for the future. I've gone this far in the off season with John adn Rex and see what they can do. If I can get Carson Palmer cheap then I will get him or another veteran backup. But I seem to think John Beck is decent so watch this space.

You are Roger Goodell. Do I move the Bills to Toronto?

I am Roger Goddell and there is no way I move the Bills. They sell out their ground every week despite not having success for some time. That tells me the passion of their fans. I'd much rather move teams like the Jags who never sell out their grounds than move a small market team whose following is important to the NFL.

I am Raheem Morris. With 74 of my 90 players in camp at the moment under the age of 25 do I bring in some veteran leadership to help develop my young core of players. Someone like a Darren Sharper?

I am Raheem Morris. I absolutely do not try and bring in some mentors for the young guys. This team went through a great growth spurt last year and will only get better as the players get some more seasoning and experience. There's some lessons you can only learn on the field.

You are Bill Cowher, do you look at coming back to NFL coaching, and where do you think the right offer will come from.

Im Roger Goodell.
I wont' be moving the Bills to Toronto. The people have Buffalo support their team and 1 game in canada is fine as far as our league is concerned. also...its the only thing Buffalo has to offer. i cant do a lebron on them. Financially moving the Bills makes sense. However they have a real fanbase with tradition and moving teams isn't on my agenda.

That said.
I am secretly working on persuading the Owners of The Jaguars to move from Jacksonville to Los Angeles. I have reworked the divisons. The Chiefs will move to the AFC South and the new Los Angeles team will play against Oakland, San Diego and Denver.

but keep it under your hat!

I am Garry Kubiac.
Somehow i miss the playoffs each year. i have a good QB. the best WR. a breakout running back and have loaded the secondary to complement Mario Williams.
how do i keep my job if we miss the playoffs?

I'm kubiak. And frankly, I font keep my job if we don't make the play offs. Good qb, gun running game, best wideout in the game and Phillips has got my d looking a bit nasty. It's our time. I'll be gone if we don't go to a post season. But we will so I ain't sweatin it.

I'm phillip rivers, what more so I have to do to be in the manning, Brady and Vick potential mvp talk?

Im Phillip Rivers

I need to throw more TD's (51) and break the yards in a season record. I say this because i play in california and theres a perception that we aren't "footbally" enough. If i played for an east coast team id be a 2 time MVP IMO. say i didnt get traded for Eli. Id be the king on New York! Sanchez wouldnt even make the papers. The team also needs to not lose me games by getting punts blocked and fumbling inexplicably. seriously what was that? Norv also needs to call the right plays at crucial times. I also need to start the season fast. that means beating new england in new england and being undefeated into the bye week.
This year i have the outside weapons from the start that i didnt have last year. I am confident of getting to the playoffs and if we do and i throw well im a chance.

I am Shawne Merriman
I had 2 sacks in the pre season and am looking ominously good. how have i returned to such tip top physical condition and how many sacks will i get for the bills this year?

I am Shawne Merriman and with the lockout i had the time to really look after my body and heal. I used Jay Glazer and trained using UFC methods that have become popular in the NFL lately. I feel great, I feel fit and the new vet training conditions under the new CBA has helped me put my talents on the field. Plus with Marcel Dareus there he is attracting double teams freeing me up to go after the QB. I think I get 8+ sacks.

However, it was only the Bears and they have a shit line.

I'm Plaxico Burress, why did I choose to stay in New York when clearly everyone was there to get me?
