You know what time it is bitches? Yes, time for another pointless, bandwidth wasting thread by me. Suck it up!

Ok what are your weird quirks?

I can't hear well if I wear my sunglasses. I don't know how or why but if somebody is talking to me and I'm wearing them, I have to concentrate really hard or take them off.

I hate my vegetables touching each other on the plate. I can't eat casseroles or stir frys for that reason.

when I'm nervous I bite the inside of my cheek. Hurts like a mofo.

I am addicted to hand sanitisers and wash my hands almost hourly!

I have to sleep on the left side of the bed. Always. Or I can't sleep.

That's about it for now, holy sh*t, I think I may have OCD! :sarcasm:

Always gotta know the time. I have a clock in my room...but even tho i check my mobile to see the time and also use the computer i still check the clock!

i also cannot stand the sound or feel of the stryo foam packing stuff....it sends shivers up my spine and irritates the sh*t out of me.

If there are papers on my desk, they have to be set out like a grid - can't be laying around all willy nilly

I have to sleep on the right side of the bed, or else I too can't sleep.

I always check my phone for the time, even if I'm wearing my watch and sitting at a computer

I have to be able to see at night to sleep. I don't mean a night light or anything like that, ambient light will do...but it means I often sleep with open curtains. Otherwise I have NFI where I am if I wake up in the dark :fist:

I have way too many to share, I'm a complete neat freak, I even have to have programs open in a specific order on my computer, also a chronic time checker. Just don't want to go there.

I will share my funniest one though:

I can't eat and watch "special videos" at the same time. Not talking logistically (ie one handed eating) I just can not do it. Don't ask my why I've tried this, for some reason when I eat it's all just horrible and I can't watch it. When I'm not eating = happy time.

Ok.

1. You know the tiles on the ground in shopping centres, how some of them have different colours? If I step on one of the different coloured ones, I have to step on the next one I see on the other foot, or I will step backwards and step on it.

2. If I buy a bunch of things, I will check the bag every two or three minutes, counting each time to make sure I've got everything. Sometimes I even write a checklist of the things.

3. If I touch some things with my left hand I feel compelled to touch them with my right.

That's a few.

that's weird:lol:. I am the same with some things, and if I wash one hand, I will feel weird until I wash the other as well.

I probably have so many, but am so used to myself that I don't realise they are weird

I cannot stand lights being on for no reason, if I spot one, I will not be able to function til it is switched off

I don't put water in my mouth when I am brushing my teeth

Similarly: I constantly check my pockets for wallet, phone, keys etc.

I can be obsessive about my phone and wallet, I use trains everyday and generally, when I get off a train, I need to check my bag for my phone and wallet

This is one of my many obsessions, but I think it came about when at school I always use to have a pen in my pocket at the start of the day, and have no pens by the end of the day :fist:

A lot of the time I actually walk holding onto my phone and wallet whilst I have them in my pockets..

Yes I'm the same. I used to be weirder when for some reason I felt compelled to switch cutlery hands after every bite or something like that. I needed my hands to feel evenly used (as weird and creepy as that sounds).

Yeah, had the strangest moment the other day.
Was at Westfield, knew the amount of money I had. Had to go to the food court. Sarah's asking "do you want to eat?"

I responded with "No darlin, I just need to count my money"

Even though it was $3.85

Hmm, here's a few:

- Very orderly but at the same time very lazy which makes for an interesting lifestyle. I have to write lists and plan out things step by step even with allocated times for just anything I take 'seriously'.. If I don't do it I seem lost and fear of forgetting something. Not sure if this is more a trait than a quirk but oh well :p

- Sometimes when I feel things (fabrics/textures, anything really) I can't seem to just do it once and have to do it a few times afterwards until I do the right rub (right feel) or hear the right vibration from it

- Neat freak, but again, funny when its combined with laziness. Some stuff I keep really neat and ordered, others I just plan to do so and never do and bugs me because I can't be f**ked doing it.

- Wash my hands a fair bit, every time I touch something mildly unclean I go wash my hands heh. *Edit* Just noticed Stormchaser had this one too

- Pockets thing from above.

- Similar to Stormchaser for these two; I don't like my food mixed a lot of the time. I have a lot of stuff separated that most people would just mix together and also I bite my nails (pretty common one though) and also the inside of my cheeks when I'm nervous, except it doesn't hurt me for some reason, I sort of gnaw at extra gum or something in there..

- Back on the orderly subject, similar to Martli I stick to a lot of routines for a lot of different things.

- I find it hard to sit without my legs crossed. I try and sit with them uncrossed all the time but in the end they just end up crossing back over lolz.

- I can't take a sh*t with my shirt on. I hate it and it makes me feel uncomfortable :fist:

- I'm not sure if this is a quirk, but I kick right-handed, write right-handed, but open things left-handed and eat left-handed.

Ok.

Haha! I use to do that when I was a little bit younger but don't do it so much any more.

Just remembered another one.
I used to stack everything I owned. I still do.
However, if I had say four piles of DVDs and I was one short on one of the piles (like one DVD off making it level) I would rage, even panic for some reason and run to the store, buy one and put it there.
Afterwards just buy four at a time.

Oh this thread reminds me of a little habit I had when I was pretty young and small, similar to a 'quirk'.. I was a serial sleepwalker. I use to sleepwalk around the house and also outside the house on the front yard and scarily enough, the road. We did live on a dead-end street though, so it's not like there was any traffic.

Eventually my parents put a tiny lock at the top of the door but alas that did not stop me instantly, and my last and funniest walk occurred after the lock was installed. Apparently I pushed a chair over in my sleep and stood on it to the open the lock and then the door, walked outside and across the road to my friend's place thinking it was the middle of the day and I was going to ask him if he wanted to come out and play. The most embarrassing thing for me was, I woke up halfway through knocking on their door during the middle of the night, and wondered what the hell I was doing and I think I may have almost started crying when my friend's dad opened the door (I was 5 or 6 I think)
