How will our team look? I'm going to assume that all 3 of Boyd, Gids and Tyrone will miss a week - both for a bit of fun in putting the team together and because it's a decent possiblity.

I'd have to go something like:

1. Gagai
2. McManus
3. McKinnon
4. Leilua
5. Uate
6. Dobson
7. Minto
8. Snowden
9. Waddell
10. Mason
11. Scott
12. Rochow
13. Smith

14. Clydsdale
15. House
16. Cuthbo
17. Fa'alogo

Although i'd be tempted to get Mamo in there somewhere and keep McKinnon on the bench, too.

1 Mamo
2 Uate
3 Gagai
4 BJ
5 McManus
6 Dobson
7 Roberts. If not Minto.
8 Snowden
9 Gidley. If not Clydsdale/Waddell
10 Mason
11 Scott
12 Rochow
13 Smith

14 Clydsdale/Waddell
15 Faalogo
16 McKinnon
17 Cuthbo

Definitely revisiting this on Monday after we get more news on the injuries.

We won't see it, but if Boyd, Gids and Roberts are all out I'd like to see:

1. Mamo
2. McManus
3. Gagai
4. BJ
5. Uate (last chance)

6. Dobson
7. Minto

8. Snowden
9. Hilder
10. Mason
11. Scott
12. Rochow
13. Smith

14. Clydesdale
15. McKinnon
16. Cuthbo
17. House/Fa-alogo

I have a feeling we're more likely to see Gagai at fullback and McKinnon at centre (as well as Waddell over Hilder and Clydesdale) but I really hope not. I know they'd be better with a week training there but it really was a disaster today. Especially Alex and Aku trying to defend together *shudder*

I don't think Gagai went very well at fullback today. He could've saved that 40-20 and the chip in goal for one of their tries too.

I think putting Mamo in at FB is a bit premature. The guy is an absolute gun and he had a great game at FB today, but don't forget he was primarily a winger beforehand so he would still have things to learn first. Throwing him in the deep end in a position he's hardly played could be costly.

He is every bit FG ready on the wing though, that's for sure.

Knights certainly have some strong fullback and wingers available. Mano and Manteletto. Would be great for you in firsts IMO. Pretty crazy the talent unable to get a riun in the NRL because of your full strength side.

It's great to have some exciting talent coming through, but at the same time I didn't think we'd need to be actually considering them this soon. I can't believe it's round 1 and there's a high chance not one member of our spine will be playing next week.

Congrats on the win today. Some promising signs for Penrith (despite the opposition) but It was like watching a slow motion train wreck for us though.

100% agree with this. Gagai looked well and truly out of position to me and also looks like he's lost some pace. Just my opinion that's all.

I agree that Gagai wasn't great at fullback, but I also agree that it would be throwing Mamo in at the very deep end to bring him in there... and I don't know who else would be ok at fullback aside from Gagai. Apparently Gagai was very good in one of the trials at fullback, and has played there a bit as a junior I think. I dunno, I think it's worth giving him a full game there with a bit of organisation.

If Roberts is ok to play I'd be tempted to bring in Minto at fullback. He played there during the Indig trial and looked the goods

Gagai spent a lot of time at fullback for Redcliffe but I feel we lose too much putting a 2nd rower out on the right. Maybe bring up Pat M, dunno

I think Gagai has some issues given his behaviour at the emerging Qld camp. I hope he sorts it cos we need him to stand up next week.

Minto trained all pre season at fullback it wasn't until Mullen got injured that Dobson was forced into the first grade side and it left a gap in the NSW Cup halves which Minto has filled and Tuha was brought back to play fullback since Nathan Ross also is injured. Merry go round. Moral of the story, Minto the most likely fullback option. Though Bennett talked Gagai up tonight so we'll see.

Yeah, I like Minto at fullback. He wad Boyd-like in the indigenous trial, sweeping in from the back with some quality ball-playing and pace to burn. Seems like a classy player.

Remember when Shannon MacDonnell was our back up fullback

The fact that is no longer the case should cheer us up some

Yeah Minto is very Boyd-like except he only usually sweeps right not left which might be a good thing to get Gagai and Uate quality ball while Mullen is out.

Bring on Minto, then! I missed the indigenous trial. He looked quite promising in the halves today.
