Zac Lomax

Is Zac the only player (from any code) to drop everything for this R360 mob?

I know there have been rumours of other players but is he the only one confirmed to have been screwed over by this whole debacle?

Lomax is now higher than Lyon on my shit list and only slightly below the entire Melbourne Storm organisation.

Love that the club has basically put a call out for the other 16 clubs to make offers of players to switch out for him.

Janie Lyon was a young kid. I dont blame him at all. He was perhaps mislead by his manager and didnt Noel Cleal orchestrate it?

I totally agree.

And as @jason taylor said, he served his time in England, and when his contract ended, joined Manly.

He did his time, so to speak.

Lomax is 26 years old (a young man in terms of life, but not as young as Lyon), and is refusing to honour any deal he signs.

He's an A-grade, top shelf dickhead - and the courts will hand him a massive wake-up call.

If we take action against Lomax, we don't get a player as compensation from the Storm, so I assume that negotiation didn't go down too well.
Yeah Storm see a bargain. They don’t care about “contracts”.
We would get a player from another club that Lomax then goes to and who he is able to convince / get an offer from that includes dealing with Parra - the whole point of that clause in the release.
Parra was trying to do this merkin a solid and he smacked us in the face. Go to town on him I say.

The NRL needs to see this as the time/opportunity to just legitimise trades. If a club has a player contracted for say 3 years they should be allowed to trade that player provided of course the player accepts the trade (which is implied even in MLB trades #). I realise this is part of the way things work already just aim to make it more of a thing.
# it would/might affect a players future contract worth if he was known to be a player who is difficult to trade.

Going by the PR from the club it appears we've forgiven the player request and are now wanting financial compensation.

I reckon we should get the worth of the rest of lomax's contract from the storm but it will likely be closer to a million

I didn’t get that at all from that press release. I got the impression they are definitely looking for someone to add to the playing group as compensation.
