i don't get it? ... what's the "new low"? ... they were the first team in the history of the game to lose a test + series to bangadesh there is no low that can surpass that ...

Obviously the creator of the thread hasn't been following the series too closely. In the past three ODIs Zimbabwe have performed admirably, and if not for their inexperience, they could have won all three.

ODI 3. Lost by 5 runs.
ODI 4. Lost by 2 wickets.
ODI 5. Lost by 19 Runs.

At least Zimbabwe have Ray Price, a semi-decent spinner. That's one position where they trump Australia, although the same could be said for just about every other cricket nation.

Apparently he is so good Dennis Fitzgerald has commissioned a statue of him to be erected at Parramatta Stadium.

Only getting beat by a very good Sri Lankan side by 19 runs is a new low :? Not a bat effort considering how poor there side is.

Murali got 4 LBW decisions in Zimbabwe's dig ... makes you wonder.

speaking of Murali, he has some real tough cricket coming up over the next couple of months

We all know the 5 ODIs just completed vs Zimbabwee,

but soon SL take on the might of Bangladesh in two test matches,

then .......a tri series tournament involving SL, Bangers and .......Zimbabwee

What are they meant to do but? Sri Lanka historically don't draw huge attendances away from home like Australia,England,India etc. So it is difficult to get matches other than Bangladesh.

Due to this Sri Lanka are only playing 4 tests next year, which is a real shame as Ajantha Mendis wizardry seems like it will be rare sight in the test match arena. The last test series Sri Lanka had was in July when they defeated India 2-1.
