I get it mate. I’m optimistic about where the game is heading as well but we can admit that we didn’t do a good job

Those points aren’t mutually exclusive.

I will admit it wasn't a good job if we get to year 5 of the TV Deal with no change.

There are still too many moving parts to flat out say for sure the TV Deal isn't good, Especially as no one knows the true figures yet

Only a f**kwit AFL fan could turn a thread about RL finances into a wankfest over his beloved AFL. Well done Perth Dread for outing yourself yet again.

RL is just an inferior sport to AFL.

- RL lacks the tactical sophistication of AFL
- The idea of throwing the ball backwards and smashing into each other in the hope of crossing a white line is not mentally stimulating
- AFL has at least some significant support in every state or territory across the country
- AFL is end to end with high level engaging action happening all the time.

Finally, RL fans have a inferiority complex when it comes to the AFL.
AFL fans are happy to embrace the Storm. Partly because we don't see them as a threat. Whereas RL fans see Sydney/AFL as a threat.

Lol he follows a sport where you get rewarded for not being able to kick straight .
Fumbling is considered a talent ..
catching is beyond most ,
& jumping on someone’s back when they not looking is considered brilliant .
Afl is the only sport in the world which rewards failure

games are literally decided by teams who miss more than the other side

What sort of Asset should the game target next?

Just spitballing...
Target ownership/stake in Accor stadium.
- Money invested can be matched by govt to change lower bowl to perminant rectangular seating with upgraded corporate facilities.
- Shephard no longer chair of Venues NSW may help.
- 20+ NRL club games, Bulldogs & Souths (prefer Souths at the SFS but that is another story), Easter Monday, NRL finals etc...
- Big ticket items, NRL GF, SOO, Concerts, Socceroos etc..

Any thoughts ?

The gambaro hotel was purchased on a yield of ten percent

by the time the Olympics comes around it will be at least 20 percent

with a distressed property market they can pick up some bargains with that 170 million cash at bank

stadium’s don’t make great returns

They should buy a shitload of pubs. A fair whack of the money they paid out to the players will come back to them through drinks and pokies plus they’ll be in control of the security footage when the inevitable f**k ups happen.

I its a troll post but at last years finals (week 2), there was a pretty healthy cross over of people going from the Swans v Collingwood game straight into the Rabbitohs v Sharks game

Invest in a digital arm!
I know the NRL wound back some of their digital arm because it was a direct threat to the broadcasters, but apparently the Rabbitohs are moving away from the NRL digital platform and will host their own later this year (website, online store etc). Will be interesting to see what comes of this.
