    Jury discharged

As for roster management (not commenting on the case per se, or my personal feelings about JDB .....) We already know there aren’t many quality players around atm. What Hook ‘thinks’ he can do with the players he has, vs what he ‘can’ do with them may prove two very different things. IF this...

    Jury discharged

Yes good point, disastrous as it is for roster management and JDB’s football career IF one was innocent of these charges you would fight tooth and nail to clear your name. Notwithstanding the other side of the equation too which you mentioned.

Compensation in itself doesn’t really help does it ? Unless we could add that compensation onto our cap spend. Otherwise it’s just balance sheet stuff. Oh well .... glad to see the back of him personally. We move on.

Rnd 1 - Away at Home

Ah the old Maryball Sunday 6:30 time slot. Hopefully another thing that can be remedied with a fresh brand of football next season.

    Project mika second row

Apologies if I missed it, but could anyone shed any light as to why he just vanished at the end of the season. He seemed to go from ‘we’re excited to extend his contract to bugger off’‍♂️

I don’t know. I like that we’re playing hard ball. Notwithstanding any personal issues the guy might actually have. I mean we have to have a heart and show empathy when called for yes, but as we know the credibility of the organisation starts from the top and the actions lately have all been a...

    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

Agreed. For what it’s worth I read into that we’re holding firm on wanting Broncs to chip in. Loving the consistency in the message if true.

    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

Yep that’s a nice little win I reckon. Not going to be that game breaking forward or two we obviously need but when you isolate those two players and force yourself to pick one, Ellis definitely gets the nod over Korbin. Another move on the chess board anyway. Like your pawn taking a pawn...

    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

Kind of nice seeing Elliott in Saints gear. Casts my mind back to season ‘92, my first year after high school (literally six years of Saints playing horrific football outside of that great Panasonic Cup upset) and Saints announce their climbing out of the wilderness with a thrashing of Parra...

Must agree. We’ve been craving any modicum of respect and fighting passion for our great club for such a long time that Hook could stand over the back fence throwing stones at passing cars and I would probably get excited. Good signs indeed.

    Corey Norman

I’ll qualify this with the fact he was behind a beaten pack, was kind of playing more 6 than 7 and I was (like everyone here) hoping Origin would give him a shot of confidence. Game 3 still may do just that. But I can’t be the only one who thought he would struggle with the pressure of...

    Mansour for Saab

If I have my years correct, he had a pretty below average 2019. Was very solid this year but it was the last year of a contract and also behind that winning team.

I always liked to call him ‘Tinman’. lots of skill, but if only he had a heart.

    Panthers

Fk the Panthers. My girlfriend is a Panthers fan. How hard is my life ATM. :eyes: I've never seen a team so consistently NOT dominate a game and still win.
