    The Footy Show 2015

I don't think it is much of a secret Slater didn't really enjoy being on the show - only reason he continued for so long is because 9 wanted him on so he could earn the money he was being paid.

    Week 9 Discussion

I assume that was a trick play for Brad Wing rather than an accident? Pretty cool.

To be fair, it is only a 'deposit' - they will get the money back if they return the uniform. $100 does seem excessive at face value - but that is what the new look uniforms are worth. The deposit is important because they are just kids - they are prone to losing and damaging uniforms -...

McDonald's have their own enterprise agreement. The casual loading in the current financial year is 23% in every state except QLD and WA where it is in fact 25%. Level 1 employees also no longer exist under the McDonald's enterprise agreement - you start at level 2.

I don't even work for McDonald's. I just don't buy into the whole McDonald's bashing bandwagon because people think it is cool to be 'healthy' and 'support the little corner shop'. The financial results speak for themselves, as do the employment numbers. Besides I am taking exception to the...

You don't know anybody working at McDonald's @ $8 an hour - because they don't exist. 14 year old casuals earn $9.65 an hour as a minimum.

    Jesse Williams

Yeh what a bummer for the guy. Going to be tough to come back from this.

It is actually just a uniform deposit - and if your son returns the uniform in good order when he stops working at the restaurant then his $100 should be returned to him. You will actually find that the uniform deposit is included in the enterprise agreement negotiated by the union. The amount...

ANZ Stadium and Olympic Park Rail Station

Probably boils down to the logistics and cost, remembering as well Olympic Park was catering to hundreds of thousands of people a day during the Olympics.

The nrl should model itself on nhl

To be fair, fights in the NHL are pretty farcical.

Round 15 v Raiders (Team Lists)

Yeh agreed. I wasn't speculating, he has actually been told the Tigers are not signing him beyond this year.

Groat won't be a Tiger next year, obviously not in Potter's plans.

Sounds like they went toe to toe, and Ben Teo is going to play the "but I didn't start it" card.

    The Footy Show 2013

He may not be an expert, but I personally feel he is the most professional presenter on the show - which is what the show needs for it to not become more than a bumbling shambles. It's not as if he gets greatly involved in the 'footy discussion' anyway - perhaps the odd throw away line here...

Yes, because it is the only reason that Slater is on the show

CBA signed; Salary Cap to Rise to $7 million by 2017

No they aren't - but the players are always wanting more. But it also sounds like they want to sign big money contracts and then not worry about having to perform at their best.

CBA signed; Salary Cap to Rise to $7 million by 2017

Some portion of the contract could be guaranteed, with another portion incentive based. The forces the players to put in the effort and they want to achieve their financial goals. I subscribe to the theory that a lot of players are underpaid currently - however I don't think they are...

CBA signed; Salary Cap to Rise to $7 million by 2017

This is true. But this is what happens in the NFL for instance. It is about risk and reward - the players want the big BIG bucks, then they need to be held accountable if a team feels as if they are not earning their keep. Just my opinion anyway.

CBA signed; Salary Cap to Rise to $7 million by 2017

I find it odd that a club can't terminate the contract of a player who is ‘‘not playing the game or training conscientiously and to the best of his ability and skill’’.
