    Is anyone a fan of the NRL being split into conferences?

    They used to, but now teams get to select a list of preferred opponents and the NRL matches this as much as possible. When split on last years ladder it wasn't 1,3,5,7... and 2,4,6... rather 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16 and 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15 in order to make the 2 pools of theoretically equal strength...
