I think Josh Morris has the inside running for the other centre spot. Lawrence was good in patches though, should be close. King played himself out of contention imo. No urgency and bad defense.

The thing is, nobody is standing up for the hooking role...the job is up for grabs and nobody is trying to take the opportunity, there in lies the problem.

Buderus is over the hill
Farah is a sook
Hinchcliffe isn't ready for it unless its off the bench
Ennis isn't playing well enough

Who else is there?

Haha piss off. Farah was almost the best on the park. His service was excellent all game and he made 10 metres every time he ran it. Not to mention every single kick he put in was awesome. He was the best kicker on the field today but he kept throwing it to Pearce seemingly cuz he's a good bloke.

McCrone was barely sighted. You are off your head.

Farah: 7 runs, 47 metres.
Hinchcliffe: 8 runs, 80 metres.

Please, continue.

Lovely little kick for Fergo's second try, didn't see any other hookers out there today do that.

No hookers made any try assist kicks today because Josh McCrone isn't and has never been a hooker.

Semantics aside you're not really going to sit there and gloss over 80 minutes of football and give the points to your teams player because of one good kick right? If Farah's outside backs had have been on their game he put in a try scoring kick that nobody got to, not to mention how many times he found open space, the in goal area etc.

But yes push the cart of McCrone. I am sure we will see him playing Origin sometime in another reality.

1. Stewart
6. Carney
7. Pearce
9. Farah

Please, continue.

You do realise that he ran the ball three times in the last set just to fall over right?

Also Hinchcliffe made most of those runs when he wasn't playing dummy half.

Leilua and Lawrence played better then him... May aswell play Scott or Creagh there for NSW if they think about playing Morris...

No mention of Robbie Farah? He showed that he is by far the best hooker in NSW.
Thought he was strong. Hopefully gets picked ahead of the nostalgia value player.

tbh if Stewart is fit I'd probably pick him at fullback, or Hayne.

Carney was the best kicker on the Field today.........

Anyway If anyone mentions the Morris Boys or Matt King again for SOO they should be shot...

Josh maybe, Brett no.

Brett is a good player at club level, but on the wing he has positional issues in defence and has been found out repeatedly at origin level for it. He's going very well at fullback but we have better players in that position than him.

Josh I am still on the fence with, he's been brilliant to start the season, but in his past origin he was poor in defence. I think running off Pearce and Carney he could go alright, but I worry about his defence.

King has been rubbish this season, looks like being another who struggles when he stops playing under Bellamy.

HAHAHAHAHA that drop out, how can anyone even compare Mullen to Pearce
Mullen's long range kicking game shits all over Pearce's, so does his running game. Pearce is a slightly better defender, and has a stronger passing game and manages to step up in rep matches.

To suggest Pearce far ahead of Mullen is geniused.

Farah was clearly best on field today 44 tackles no misses -hinchcliffe only made 17 and missed 3 -Farah pushed his team around the field his kicking game was outstanding and he dragged a lesser city team to a win . He is far and away the best hooker in nsw and today more then proved that with quick sweet passing , great direction for the side, a mountainous amount of defence in the middle , made meters every time he ran the ball and more importantly made big meters for his forwards by hitting them at the right time with quick passes. It should be Carey at 6 as he was solid and hayne was horrible, Pearce at 7 as he is the best choice with Robbie at 9 , hayne was worst on the field today

Both had their moments but Josh created more opportunities than Lawrence and Leilua wasn't tried on the right hand side.

You missed Mullens game did you?

But i agree with Farah hate him as much as i do i think he played the right game to get the number 9 for NSW

That line there is the most important and is why Pearce is a long way ahead of Mullen.

Mullen was awful today, Pearce was a stand out. Pearce stood up in the last 10 minutes. Both Pearce and Carney had their moments and should be the halves for NSW.

Carney has a better long range kicking game and passing game than Mullen.

What game were you watching?

Even Mullen's kicking game was superior to Farrah's, Carney's was much better too.

Good bloke? Why do you think Ennis kept being chosen over him for Origin last year? It sure as hell wasn't because Ennis was a revelation at that level.

In Origin you need the team to gel well together, especially because the Queensland players have become so acustomed to each other. Farrah is a cat, and while there is no doubt he has talent he is completely wrong for Origin. Buderus has the respect of his teammates, he provides excellent service from dummy half and is a great defender. Yeah it's not the best situation, but he's the best option.
