Hello all and welcome to the coverage of the first ODI between Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea.
News from the middle is that Hong Kong have won the toss and are batting
The ground at Mong Kok (emphasised for forum user Mong - ed) looks a picture and the players will surely have a good time playing here. The tall buildings around the ground provide a good backdrop.
Talking of the grounds in Hong Kong, there are two other grounds in Hong Kong and they are equally pretty.
The batsmen walk to the middle and are joined by the umpires. The fielders of Papua New Guinea stream in too

Associate ODI Ranking Table
Afghanistan and Ireland are the only two Associates included within the main MRF ICC ODI Team Rankings. The other four Associate countries with ODI status are ranked separately within the Associate ODI Ranking Table.
Rank Country P W T L %
1 Scotland 15 8 0 7 53
2 Hong Kong 18 9 0 9 50
3 UAE 12 6 0 6 50
4 PNG 7 3 0 4 43
Last updated: 4 July 2016 (includes all qualifying matches played since 1 May 2013)
Teams are ranked according to their win percentage, then if equal, by most wins
There is a rolling 3-4 year qualification period for matches to be included. At the beginning of May each year, the Associate ODI Ranking Table is updated to exclude all matches played more than three years previously.
Qualifying matches comprise:
• All ODIs played against other Associates
• Non-ODIs played by the above teams during the 2014 ICC Cricket World Cup qualifying tournament where their opponent either had ODI status at the time the match was played or had earned ODI status by the end of the tournament.
Any ODIs played by the above teams against Ireland or Afghanistan are included in the table. However they will not affect the rating of Ireland or Afghanistan within the MRF ICC ODI Team Rankings table.
