wouldnt mind seeing how it went in a trial first, but its not a bad idea IMO
That allows more room to fit in blokes for the wing spots as i would assume Chalk would play fullback. But that would mean Smith moves to the forward pack and in particular the back row, which we have alot of talent and not enough spot already

yes, that was me :lol: :? i dunno, all that talk about Carney subbing for Withers after 20 or so minutes made me think that it's not such a bad idea. as long as that fat-arse Jason Smith isn't our halfback.

I reckon the move stinks. Schif is a fullback. He is also no Darren Lockyer either. If anything I think he would do a comparable job to Mclinden. I dont possibly see how we can expect Schif to organise us around the park. If these rumours are true we could have any one of these combos for next year:

Schif/Smith
Smith/Carney
Smith/Withers
Schif/Withers

The only one that appeals to me is Smith/Carney.

Not a big fan of having Jason Smith at 5/8, has he ever played there before? Carney and Campese have played together a lot in the halves so there would be good cohesion there, one thing we lacked last year was a regular halves combo.

That's a good point actually. I know in my team I've chosen Chalk and Graham on the wings with Frawley and Ale in the centres.

This still leaves Howell, Gafa, Robertson, Smith and Purtell who could all play wing.
