Points Of Interest:
- Season 2011 will feature 10 regular season rounds, bringing with it the opportunity for teams to play each other twice, alternating between home venues. This is a Forum Sevens first.
- The season will start off with a bang with the 2010 Grand Final rematch in Round 1 between the Bluebags and the Panthers.
- Teams will pay each other 5 rounds apart, adding hype and anticipation to each rematch.
- Other matches include the ANZAC Test, State Of Origin, the Willow Cup, and the Four Nations.
- Where possible, representative matches are scheduled to coincide with their real life counterparts.
- There are no regular season byes. However, players will have the opportunity to rest, (if they choose to), during representative matches. Two teams will also receive a bye from the first round of the Willow Cup.
- The Willow Cup marks the halfway point of the regular season.
- The Four Nations will kick off with the 2010 Four Nations final rematch between the Kiwis and the Kumuls.
- Representative matches are only 6 days long. Representative captaincy nominations and selections will be made so that teams have enough time to recruit and compete.
- Depending on team positions on the table and match results, it is hypothetically possible for a player to compete in as many as 22 matches throughout the full season. If achieved, this would be a new Forum Sevens individual record.
- This draw was made by Titanic. A huge thanks should be sent his way.
