Interesting decision in regards to the 10 men infringement. On precedent it means that anyone that does the same in the finals should remain victorious and just cop a fine.

Good pool though when all is said and done.

The fine wasn't announced until after the result for the pool came in, so they had the advantage of seeing leaving the win or stripping it has zero effect would probably be why it was only a fine, had the khights lost we may have seen something completely different.

There's still a precedent set though.

Obviously it was decided in such a way after the pool results became clear but even so why opt with a decision that creates a murky precedent?

*Edit* Twatface beat me to it!

There's still a precedent set though.

The precedent set though is that they will review it a make a decision based on the impact it had. If it was an automatic loss then the precedent is set for a team up by 20 with 30 seconds to go screwing up their interchange in the finals and are automatically booted.
The precedent would be set no matter what decision is made, there was one set 11 years ago with the Broncos for stripping points.

Why not take the points they scored with the 10 men off them?

Why open the can of worms of taking points scored when a screw up happens? Cowboys would scream murder after errors saw points put on them in the past. We aren't psychics and wouldn't know what would of happened if 9 were only on the field.
As Parra still finished 1st and Knights 2nd regardless, there wasn't any need for anything more. If they stripped points but didn't fine Dragons, what real penalty do they face?

Oh f**k, cows eliminated from a comp.

I'm expecting some conspiracy cries from JT any minute now.
