Plus do have a vague memory of their being a name / guidelines change to the game so players eligible could make their respective state teams despite not playing in that state's competition.
So a Qld eligible player showing talent for say North Sydney Bears is a chance to get a guernsey. Ditto a NSW player for the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
