Not sure about all that

Those QLD blokes all played together and are all talked about being immortals, throw in Cronk and Inglis in the mix as well

Which future immortal is Cleary playing with?

Unless the likes of TomT and Latrell are fully fit, and we have a coach that aint going to stuff up , winning an origin series here and there is all Cleary will be able to do while he keeps bagging premierships

Exactly. Qld had C.Smith,Cronk,Thurston,Slater, Inglis all in the same side. 5 of the best ever.

Who in NSW is that level? Teddy perhaps. Turbo when fit but rarely has been. Unsure Latrell is close to those blokes.

He would have received the Clive Churchill medal if the Broncos had won. For reference Cleary made 18 tackles and missed 7.
So it’s an outlier for Cleary who is a good defender in general, while the game is quite representative of Mam’s defence.

Cleary would make the Tigers (for example) a better team, while Mam would look like Sandow without the kicking game.

If only the Donkey's had Jake Arthur they would be premiership winners, poor Brisbane.

Some of the players who have more ineffective tackles this season than Ezra Mam include Carrigan, Cook, Grant, Keary and Mahoney. Does that mean they’re nuffy players as well? Or could it be that players have strengths and weaknesses?

Do you reckon BA says the same thing to Jake & Matt.
I loved that interview. I know he acted a tad strange when trying to escape The Tigpies but generally he appears a very dedicated and personable man. Hes certainly proved he can coach after losing Barrett, Ciraldo and Webster as well as some top shelf players.
If coaches were important he would certainly be at the top of the list currently. That said lets target Peter Wallace. Hes been in a fantastic system and was always a player that gave his all. Hes a winner no doubt. 2026 will be here before we know it. The time to start the conversation is now.

Mitch Kenny missed 11 tackles, yet another hooker to miss a huge number of tackles against Brisbane. He matches Robson's record of 11 misses vs Brisbane in round 23. Of course, as we've previously learned, missed tackles in the middle are significantly less of an issue than low work rate (tackles per minute).
Still litigating the Hodgson signing....it's confirmed, this weekend has revealed a GOAT.

You are the greatest troll to ever live.

What this shows is we dont need a world beater at 9 especially with Moses and Brown in the side. You just need a hooker that can make their tackles lead the defensive line and get good ball to our play makers and run out of dummy half when you get a quick play the ball..

Cleary is just lucky, he’s not much chop.

I agree the challenge for Nathan now is to do a 3-peat in origin.

Not winning 1 series here and there. He needs to win and own it 2/3 years in a row like JT, Smith, Slater did for QLD.

Obviously i dont expect NSW to win 8 in a row.

But a 3-peat in Origin is considered a dynasty not many times its happened outside of the golden era for QLD. The best he has managed is 1 series win a row.
If Qld drops more than two series then start talking possibly 3, right now NSW needs to win 1 series, wouldn't invest in a threepeat pipedream at present, currently NSWRL are trolling old coaching ranks for a new replacement for Fitler while Slater has signed on for another 3 years.
