One of the first times i have to agree with Nickelarse, they are ruining one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world just for a game played in 3 states.

Watched Australia play West Indies at Adelaide oval a couple of years ago and the ground and surrounds is absolutely magnificent.

Now viccykicky is ripping it all down and putting up god ugly stands.

Very true

Was there in 2010 Australia day when we played Pakistan in a one dayer. Great atmosphere, the chappelli stands were unique, the hill area was great, the food catering at the back of the ground was brilliant. These stands wont give the place any character unfortunately

Some of you will sook about anything. The Adelaide pitch has been the most road-like of all Aussie pitches for years now.

A drop in wicket won't be the end of the world.

The MCG has had drop ins for years and that hasn't stopped us having some great Boxing day tests.

You're an AFL troll, a dickhead, and as dumb as a box of hammers so of course you don't understand. The whole ground will lose its character with this development. The pitch will end up like Melbourne's trampoline.

Well done Kane. Were the first two f**king warnings not enough for you?

Jesus Christ. From bad to worse.

Richardson has been given 3 warnings for running on the pitch so can't bowl for the rest of the match. A fine debut - a golden duck and hooked from the bowling crease.

That pitch has produced some great 5 day games you plonker, more often than not deteriorating nicely from a good batting wicket. Also has been historically good for chasing in limited overs games.

The MCG pitches are nothing more than production line plastic wickets, all because some poofs in singlets don't like getting their elbows scratched.
