All LIVE on FOX, all times AEDST. And yes, CCM/AU and JETS/BRI are concurrent due to necessary rescheduling for ACL (i.e. Roar favouritism).

LADDER leading into this weekend:

Central Coast 45
Brisbane Roar 43
Perth Glory 40
Wellington 40
Melb Heart 35
Newcastle 35
------------
Sydney FC 34
Melb Victory 26
Adelaide Utd 24
Gold Coast 18

Here's an open question...

Newcastle's supporter forum has their match thread currently running for their clash with Roar this weekend.

SOME of their fans are on there clearly and passionately saying they want their side to LOSE to the Roar this weekend (thereby killing their finals chances), solely to see the Mariners lose the Premiers Plate.

Would anyone do that?

Of course there is no guarantee that roar will win premiers plate anyway. Gypos, I mean Ccm have to keep losing

Exactly. If we win and Roar draw or lose, it's over.

Worries me for next week, we face them and they'll be very hungry after such a defeat.

Hoping we can play controlled, positive football against AU tomorrow, and Brisbane succumb to a draw or loss.

Why are there 2 games on at the same time? Is it because of the ACL or so Brisbane and CC play at the same time (thus ensuring no dead rubber for the Premiership)?

ACL. Roar were supposed to play tomorrow but needed the game moved to accommodate flights or something.

A liberty the Mariners have not been granted for any ACL commitments, mind you.

Two great games, stoic showing from the Mariners. If Wellington don't back up after last night's heavy loss to Victory, the Mariners have the plate.

But there's a long way to go.

All comes down to a game against the smurfs

Now...can the FFA afford victory and syd to miss out...will be keen to see some of the decisions

Does it matter if Sydney miss out? It's not like they'll get to play any finals at home.

No but greater interest in the biggest city in the country means much more exposure and interest for the game

I get what your saying with the whole FFA is pro-Sydney argument but I think it's unfair on Newcastle to suggest that they'd show less interest in their team's finals appearance than Sydney would. In fact the opposite is probably the case.

Do all CCM fans whinge and whine about the Roar as much as you timmah?

Is it because of lasts years great GF win by the Roar that you are still crying about pointless rubbish?

Not at all.

Do you think it's reasonable that A-League matches have moved, relocated or times changed for one club to accommodate their grinding schedule, but not another?

They wouldn't even delay kickoff an hour in 40 degree heat because they didn't want to upset FOX Sports.

You'd think player welfare would be a consideration.
