Thank you so much for starting this thread, RecordBreakingMoron. I needed a good laugh. Been a bit depressed since my old mate from Fort St. left for warmer climes...

'With time away from the rigours of club football, Stuart has planned exactly what sort of environment he wants to create for the NSW team and one of his initiatives is the involvement of a group of businessmen, known as the Blues Brothers, who pay for special access to training, team dinners and even a seat on the bench during games.
Some of those involved in the exclusive club are Channel Nine boss David Gyngell, Penrith Panthers benefactor Lou Zivanovic and Sydney car dealer Anthony Lahood, who last night attended a team dinner with a group of past NSW Origin players."

So let's get a bunch of loaded guys(who are paying extravagantly for the privilege,of course) to attend training,dinners and games.They can gush and fawn and generally act like rich berks*.They know diddly squat about footy,but they can blow smoke up your arse and convince you that you are better than you are.It's a tactic that has improved many a fourth-rate team.Hasn't it?


Whew.As a QLD supporter,whilst Sticky keeps coming-up with these winning strategies,I can't see this NSW juggernaut stopping anytime soon.After-all they are going for a record;


The only team to have lost 6 series in a row. \\\\:D/

You are aware that QLD has had the same type of program running for a few years arent you ? Where do you think Sticky got the idea.

If he's banking on that giving him a winning edge...Feel free to copy.It's not what I'd regard as a crucial plank in QLD's program and it might just be the type of approach which backfires.What is really needed is a kick up the arse for NSW,not more arse-kissers.

I just read some of what Tommy had to say to the Blues.Can NSW sign him up to do the motivational speeches for the Blues for another 10 years also?An Alzheimer's definite if ever there was one.File his speech under 'How to lose the series for another 5 years.' :D

Do you really think that the ill-disciplined bunch that Sticky has chosen are certainties to win?They back themselves to do the job.Based upon what?They are going to bash them.The Bruise Brothers and all that crap. :BDH:

The majority of them have a memorable moment when they contributed unquestionably to assist QLD to series win(s)(that's right some of them contributed to more than one series win for QLD).Some need to be investigated as to whether perhaps they are 'on the take' such is their repeated sabotage of NSW Origin aspirations.I couldn't be more delighted that they are taking the field again and that the commentators are blowing smoke up their arses for another year.It's reassuring to know that if any of the NSW team gets injured,that NSW can bring to the next game at least a dozen more players who are experienced and expert at handing QLD the game on a platter(Hayne,Farrah,Whatmough,Gidley,O'Donnell,Monaghan,Jamal the list is almost endless).They've all proven to be liabilities to NSW.The smokescreen is that they score occasionally and they are 'Origin Material'.
