A good result for Nickers, who I felt was nominated for the wrong film last year (she was fab in The Others)

He's no Aussie, but Adrien Brody appears to have pulled off the major upset for this year with Best Actor. All the pre-gig talk was centered on whether or not Slack Nicholson could outgun Day Lewis.

Looks as if Nicholson will have to wait at least another year before joining Hepburn in the 4 Oscar club... I wonder if he can handle that truth?
