First happened in an exhibition game (Australia vs Rest of the world). Mike Hussey hit the roof and it got called a dead ball. The second time was Tim Paine in a BBL game and it was called 6 after Ponting at the non-strikers end had a word. When this was brought up on commentary Ponting admitted he knew it should have been a dead ball but thought he would try his luck.

no idea why it’s still given as 6.
