you need to take everything that comes out of koukash's mouth (or his familys) with a pinch of salt..

so far he's wanted to buy oldham roughyeds, oldham athletic fc,swinton lions RLFC and now bradford bulls

for every half decent idea he's had theres 5 which are daft

hes the english russel crowe

if he wants to invest in bradford via his brother it will be a smash

that club has been run into the ground by the 2 previous regimes

and owning oldham was a good idea too.

the cost of owning RL clubs is tiny compared to soccer clubs

this seems the best place to post this....

many people like to deride super league because some of the clubs are run poorly...and as was the case with bradford the RFL stepped in and "ran" the club while a new onwer was found.....many mocked and used it to highlight how bad super league is/was

i see pretty much exactly the same has happened in the NRL with the NRL taking over newcastle knights....

did'nt tinkler put up $10m to cover the transition?

also they may have $5m in the bank...but the point im getting at is both the NRL & ESL have had to step in for various reasons because theres actually no one to run the clubs in question..

Yeah I can understand your point, but the Knights are far from a club in trouble.
Tinkler had a guarantee of $10M per season on purchasing the club. He has agreed to maintain that for the transition period. The Knights have on top of that (or including, depending on how you view it) $5M sitting in the bank.

The Bulls desperately needed an owner to pump money into the joint. The Knights already had the money.

The good thing is for Super League that the new Sky deal will secure the future of the clubs. Once the league gets to a position where TV money covers at least the entire salary cap, Super League will be much safer.
