Call for bids?

So tv negotiations well under way and rumors that they have asked for bids to include a ninth game from 2015. August has been mentioned as a decision time for expansion so can we expect calls for bids to be coming out in the next eight weeks. Of course they could just decide on which cities they want in and drive expansion themselves.

I think they want Perth and Ipswich.

Seems to be logical for TV.

Perth gives them a live game Super Saturday or Sunday or played at a reasonable local starting time that can go say 2 4 6 in Qld and NSW and Ipswich gives them an SEQ team not directly in the Broncos back yard.

My tip is a call for bids outside of NSW/Qld and in SEQ. Gallop spoke of add financially rather than sustainability in weekend interview which clearly points to TV rights.

Do you think News leaving ownership would have allowed a 2nd Brisbane team when they still own 68% of the Broncos when they negotiated their exit? If the Broncos lost money as owners as they would have to tip in.
