Idea.... How about a competition in the style of the UEFA Champions' League that runs alongside the regular forum 7s? My idea is that we write about a given topic each week - not necessarily rugby league. The topics might include World War II, Classic Television Shows, The Great Australian BBQ, Scripts of a Soap Opera, and the World of Info Tech.
Teams competing in the regular F7s would also start in the CL format and remain for as long as they could before being eliminated. For those who don't know the UEFA CL format, it is 8 groups of 4 with 6 group games on a home and away basis. Top two teams in each group progress, with half being eliminated every round until the final (so basically knockout).
Perhaps the PVP tourny could sort out the competitors for the regular F7s and the CL format comp.
It would deffinitely be a big workload but maybe it could be an offseason thing? Maybe even schedule alongside the real UEFA CL comp to make things easier to work out.
Who would be prepared to participate if we could get it going?
