I don't even follow baseball, but this deserves its own thread for the simple fact they just broke a 108 year drought.

Its been a year of sporting miracles and Cinderella stories, Leicester City in the EPL, Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA, Sharks in the NRL, Bulldogs in the AFL

Came from 3 games to 1 down to win it away from home in Cleveland

It is a pretty amazing year in sport when the Chicago Cubs is not the biggest result in world sport that year.

It was an amazing game 7 and congratulations to them.

Leicester is still far and away the best story on the list though, a true miracle. The cubs were favourites from day dot, both the sharks and bulldogs favoured to make top 4 and the Cavs were finalists from the year before and every man and his dog knew they would win the east again.

It is uncanny that so many long droughts have been broken though.
