Apparently previous years performances on mad Monday counts a fair bit towards the overall results for club champions.

Collective number of points in all four competitions under the NSWRL (SG Ball, Harold Matthews, Jersey Flegg and Premier League).

Being finalists in all 4 definitely contributed.

So the NSWRL adds up all the competition points for each team in each grade and the team with the most points wins the championship?
