"Everyone seems to have got mixed up there," he said.
"All we did was put Epalahame Lauaki on because we were looking for a bit more grunt in the forwards, which meant Simon [Mannering] went out the back and either Lance [Hohaia] or [Michael] Witty came off.
"It just happened to be Witty on the day."
