Mate im having a big sit down in Melbourne this afternoon to assess form with some esteemed colleagues, i might post something up if i get a chance on saturday morning

That said, the one that really intrigues me is segments v dance hero. Cannot split them

Being from NZ, major interest is in the Cox Plate - it'll be interesting, because Xcellent is a very special horse, no doubt about that... But Makybie Diva is a champion...

Xcellent looks a very good horse JJ. I'd just have prefered to see him do something in Oz against this kind of opposition first... No doubting he looks good though.

I am interested on peoples thoughts about what the trainer and jockey think with regards to giving Makybe Diva a start and beating her... Over confidence or tongue in cheek?

Note track is dead at the moment and they thik better side of slow for tomorrow with the forecast.

Xcellent trainer may take him out if it gets to much more effected. Read that on another forum somewhere. Don't know if it was on the radio or what...

I'm promoting Sarrera and Unabated to specials if it gets to slow

i'm having an all-up in sydney. race 3 # 4 Fox Lake + race 8# 3 bentley biscuit. hopefully i'll get around $5 for it

like one in brisbane race 6 # 15 mazatan. will lead and be very hard to run down

adelaide race 2 # 6 bucephalus. gets back so smaller field suits

Cox Plate First 4 - Makybe Diva to win, box Lad of the Manor, Fields of Omagh and Hotel Grand for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Then 4 Future Doubles all into Leica Falcon for the Melbourne Cup -
Benko, Segments, Hennesy Waltz and Sarrera.

For the Cox, i honestly can only see Desert War, Fields of Omagh, Lad of the Manor and Confectioner actually troubling Makybe Diva. I honestly think Makybe will sh!t this in, however im going for a bit of value by boxing all five horses in a first 4 and trifecta.

If it gets up, it'll pay a motza, even though i'll have less than 100% for each bet.

well i actually changed my mind about segments and went with virage de fortune thinking that segments would not recover from it's last super run. great move!!

5 winners and 3 placings from my 9 bets was sensational at moonee valley

my interstates did nothing but ah well

so i've got some spending money for derby day which then hopefully i can back up into cup day

I batted all around them. 2 winners, 4 2nds and a third. Couple of quinellas and trifectas in my selections. Never made anything on the day though.

Happy to do my money though after witnessing the Diva do it again.
