David Nofoaluma commits to Wests Tigers

Thu 20th April, 06:00PM

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that winger David Nofoaluma has signed a new, long-term, agreement with the Club.
The new deal will see Nofoaluma remain with Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2021 season.
The former Australian Schoolboy has played 70 NRL games for Wests Tigers since making his debut in Round 10 of the 2013 season, achieving a number of representative honours.
Nofoaluma said he was excited to be extending his stay at Wests Tigers for at least the next four seasons.
“I can focus on footy now and focus on giving my whole attention to the team,” he said.
“I started off coming through Wests Tigers as a local junior, and I think to stay here is something special. I will always have this Club as a part of me, and I will cherish that forever.
“I know what we’re building here and the culture that’s coming along under Ivan Cleary,” said Nofoaluma.
“He wants to make me an even better player than what I am, and I like that. I like learning new things off other people and I’m excited to learn off him and see how he can improve me even further.”
Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary said he looked forward to working with Nofoaluma over the coming seasons.
“It’s great news for Wests Tigers that David has committed to the club for the next four seasons,” he said.
“David’s in a great position now where he can help lead this club into the future and help it reach its potential.”
Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said he was impressed with the way that Nofoaluma was developing both on and off the field.
“David is an amazing talent, one that not only excites our fans but Rugby League fans in general,” he said.“He’s a great player to have in the game and is continuing to develop in all areas.
“David’s growth off the field is the one thing that continues to impress me and having him a part of the club for the next four years is something to be excited about. It’s exciting not only for his team mates and the club but for all Wests Tigers Members and fans,” said Pascoe.

Bloody good news. Nofa's best years are ahead and now that there are no distractions we can build a team of first graders with Nofa on the right wing.

Hopefully this is enough to spark Tedesco re-signing. Nofa and Teddy came up playing together, Nofa even mentioned they had a special bond playing fullback/winger.

I read into this aswell. Nofa and Teddy are very close mates so hopefully that's a sign Teddy can re sign also

I also think that Tedesco has a good relationship with Brooks, so fingers crossed those two re-signing will inspire him to stay and win a GF with the Tigers.

Is there an actual reported figure?

I think he may be worth it. He's one important asset to our team, has to be banging on the door for origin selection surely

Needs to work on his defence out wide though....
So maybe a move to fullback could be good for us.

The most underpaid fullback in the comp. We are building something special at the Tigers.
