After the thumping the got from our belovered Knight today, the Dragons are goooooooooooooooone for this season.

It'll be interesting to see how they'll go next week against Brisbane in Brisbane. They're now in a situation where they have nothing to lose (except the match) and could come out with all guns blazing.

By the way have Brisbane won at the New Suncorp Stadium yet?

You sometimes get some very funny results in the last round.
A lot of guys will be playing their last game for a club and with a group of players they have been with for years. Some guys will be playing their last game in the NRL.
Saints played with no spirit today, but some guys might be trying to make their last game something special next week. I never try to predict last rounds, because anything can happen.

Yes the Broncos defeated the Roosters at Suncorp 10-8.

Next week will be very interesting - Dragons v Brisbane; and if the Dragons win, then Parra v Penrith.

I absolutely agree with you here.

First things first ... Friday Night's vital encounter for Brisbane against the Dragons. This result in turn will determine the significance of the Panthers v Eels match from the Eels perspective of miraculously making it into 8th position. The most probable scenario is that the Panthers will consolidate the Minor Premiership (assuming a win against the Eels at home), unless they were to lose next week, which may very well eventuate at the hands of the Eels. If the Eels want to make the top 8, they will be hoping that the Dragons somehow manage to win comfortably, & put as many points on Brisbane as possible. The Eels have to also defeat the Panthers by a commanding margin as well, but the extent of this margin will depend upon what happens on Friday Night, if the Broncos were to lose.

If the Panthers lose to the Eels, no matter what the margin, a win to the Raiders or Roosters in their encounter next week in Canberra would see them steal the Minor Premiership in accordance to the differentials.

2003 NRL Premiership table as it stands after Round 25:

Position Club P/D PTS
1. Panthers 114 38
2. Roosters 228 36
3. Raiders 164 36
4. Bulldogs 269 34
5. Storm 48 32
6. Warriors 19 32
7. Knights -11 30
8. Broncos 34 28
9. Eels 6 26
