Not enough room for Soward, and Cooper has a calf strain and wasnt considered.

Better props going around than Dan Hunt at the moment.

Didnt he play like 5 minutes at centre once the game was over?

They've selected Bird and Carney with IMO is fair enough, Soward hasnt been all that great so far this year and i'm glad they didnt pick him.

Wow you guys are actually complaining about it. Seriously consider yourselves lucky...

In the opening 8 rounds St George has played seven Friday night games at 7.30 and one Saturday match at 5.30. While other squads play at all times.

They play another 5 games at 7.30 timeslots on those two days between now and Round 18. No Monday night games for the Dragons. No short preparations to contend with.

Key play maker for the leading nrl team (Soward) hasn't been disturbed from club duties for rep selection.

That is some fortune there.

Good to see some Dragons players get rep nods but on a purely selfish level, it would be better if they keep ignoring us. Manly will have a harder time backing up which is all good for us. That is if injuries don't ruin it (another reason I would rather not see Dragons selected)

We are happy to have players avoid extra matches and potential injuries but we are unhappy for the players who deserve recognition. A few weeks ago, Jamie Soward was being asked if he had a chance for Origin. He played it down but it only would have been human for him to start to think about it. He started the year at Skilled Park playing in the All Stars match so it would be natural for him to feel some disappointment. On the other hand, we must be a good team rather than a talented bunch of individuals.

To be accurate, one Friday game was 2 pm (Melbourne), we had a Sunday 4 pm game (Roosters) and a Saturday 7.30 pm game (Sharks). We also have coming up a Saturday 7.30 pm (Manly), Sunday 3 pm (Canberra) and actually Monday night (Penrith). I think there's also a Sunday Warriors game.
Yes, we've had lots of Friday night games, but these have been chosen by Channel 9 because as a club we are popular and if you look at the competition table, we've also justified that by being successful.
As a Saints supporter I'm sort of glad we don't have too many rep players, because of the fear of injury. It also highlights that we have a well-trained team, rather than the superstars that others have. That may become a downside as the year progresses, but we can only hope. However, I do feel sorry for those who've missed out. I hope it inspires them to show they should have been chosen, rather than being demoralised about it.

You have 9 days to prepare for it, and the Bye afterward to compensate for it.

Actually it highlights the fact that you delay the play the ball of other teams and are continuously inside the 10. Which is the key reason to your success, but also to your inability to do so in finals footy where the play the ball is sped up by the refs

Nice to meet you, in case you are lost this is the Saints part of the forum mate.
If you want to see a team delay play the balls, go watch a few others that specialise in laying down beside the tackled player therefore interfering with the dummy halves options when the ball is played despite having ample time to assume a position at marker.
As for delaying the play the ball with tackling, well when you grab the opposition and drive them back quiet a few metres I believe that to be a dominant tackle and hence the extra time.
Saints are treated no differently to any other team in that regard.
The Sharks were ill disciplined in many regards, that's why they got raped in the penalties.

The reason why we beat your bag of wank excuse for a team and the others this year is because we are a BETTER SIDE. The only team better than us this year thus far was the storm...and im sure you can sympathise given the history of your dirty club, but they are cheats. Why dont you take off the the petty hatred and give it up to a damn good team.

by the way - you have a really sh*t player as your avatar.
