Dragons V Sharks1966 Simulation Game

Having access to one of those computer simulators where teams get to "play" against each other.

How it works is, you feed in all the pertinent stats of each player, then some variables such as grounds, wind, finals experience. The result is the computer is 90% correct in predicticting who would have won between Bradmans Invincibles Vs The Ashes winning side of 72.

Someone has lent me, for a short time, the simulator.

Cue the music and lets go baaack, waaaaaay baaaack to witness the 1966 St George Vs Cronulla Game.

By the clock:
0 min: 60,000 people have packed into the SCG for the 1966 semi final. Pre-match entertainment of EH and HD Holden Formation Driving team and the young Masters Apprentices have finished their 13 improv rock version of the national anthem, God Save The Queen.

Changa Langlands for the Mighty Red and Whites kicks off!

Rainy conditions - drizzle falling.

10 seconds : Cronulla drops ball and its pounced on by Billy Smith who scores in the corner. Changa converts

Dragons 5 Mozzie infested Scum 0

Kevin Ryan receives the kick off from the scum on the 10 yard line and lurches forward, bumping off some fat slug prop from Cronulla. He finds himself into the clear and gives it to Barry Beath, the young fellah from Eugowra, who strides into the clear. Dick Huddart looms up on the outside but Beath dummies and steps past the forlorn Cronulla fullback to score under the post.

Langlands hurriedly converts so as to not waste time in the slaughter.

Cronulla didn't have a team in 1966.

St George don't have a team in 2004 either :D

When's the simulation taking place, Dumb Arse??

Geez, Barry Beath really cut through Cronulla's defences, didn't he?!

Rex, is the large pro-Saints crowd chanting "Minus One Year & Won f**k All??"

Cheers,
Ben S.

In 1966 Peter Gow was probably trying to create one of his daughters – problem being tho’ that he couldn’t get the Super 8 camera to work properly…. #-o

So how can you put in "pertinent" stats of a team that didn't exist? :?
You're too quick for us Sully. And the Cronulla side comprised of sheep in a paddock. Its all very realistic and quite serious stuff.
