As an outsider, it seems the whole situation has been poorly handled.

Either Munster did worse than just be out after curfew or the QRL were completely inconsistent with the punishments.

Hopefully it is just that they were inconsistent, the game doesn't need any more dirt on it.

He definitely got a raw deal, but he has probably also made things alot harder for himself by just not copping it.
Milford would have to be next in line after Morgan due to his versatility. If cronk, jt or Morgan suffer an injury during the series (all possibly even if Morgan is out of form) , then milford would likely feature. Napa would surely be part of an succession plan and would likely be taking lilymans spot soon

I could totally have seen them possibly still picking DCE over Milford for some reason. I guess Walters is coach though, so maybe not. And I guess everyone hates DCE now because of the Titan's fiasco.

Lillyman had a poor start to the series last year but came good... obviously QLD's loyalty will see him selected again, but I'd definitely like to see Napa there sooner rather than later.

QRL Managing Director Robert Moore today confirmed that Maroons coach Kevin Walters had completed interviews with players who attended the 2016 Emerging Origin camp.

In addition to the sanctions issued to Valentine Holmes and Cameron Munster on Monday, a further six players will be excluded from representative programs and Origin selection for the next 12 months.

The players are Anthony Milford, Jarrod Wallace, Ben Hunt, Dylan Napa, Edrick Lee and Chris Grevsmuhl.

Moore today explained the process that led to the final outcome.

“Our initial focus was on Valentine Holmes because of the involvement of the NRL Integrity Unit,” Moore said.

“As we suspected, there were other players who broke curfew and we have now gone through a process of interviewing players. Due to pre-season commitments, we’ve only been able to finalise that today.

“To the players’ credit, they’ve come forward and because of the importance we place on our QAS Emerging Origin program, they will receive the same sanction as Cameron Munster.”

Moore said in light of the sanction imposed on Valentine Holmes by Cronulla and his ongoing commitment to working with the club’s Welfare and Education team, the QRL would apply no further sanction in addition to his 12-month ban.

Maroons ban six more Emerging Origin players for breaking camp curfew, including Anthony Milford and Ben Hunt

The Queensland Maroons have confirmed six more players have been excluded from Origin selection for the next 12 months following an investigation into them breaking curfew during the Emerging Origin camp.

The players are Anthony Milford, Jarrod Wallace, Ben Hunt, Dylan Napa, Edrick Lee and Chris Grevsmuhl.

Cronulla's Valentine Holmes and Melbourne's Cameron Munster had already copped 12-month Origin bans for breaking curfew at the weekend camp in Brisbane.

"Our initial focus was on Valentine Holmes because of the involvement of the NRL Integrity Unit," QRL managing director Robert Moore said in a statement.

"As we suspected, there were other players who broke curfew and we have now gone through a process of interviewing players. Due to preseason commitments, we've only been able to finalise that today.

"To the players' credit, they've come forward and because of the importance we place on our Emerging Origin program, they will receive the same sanction as Cameron Munster."

As I said in the other thread RL is managed by muppets on all levels, even with 8 blokes going out this is minor shit but the piss poor handling of it has kept it going all week.

QLD halves depth just took a battering, especially considering DCEs origin form.

They're out:

BEN Hunt, Anthony Milford and Dylan Napa are among a list of six young Queensland stars joining Valentine Holmes and Cameron Munster in Origin purgatory after copping 12-month bans from the interstate arena.
The young stars rounded out by Jarrod Wallace, Edrick Lee and Chris Grevsmuhl have copped the sanction for breaking curfew in the Emerging Origin camp surrounded by controversy after reports first surfaced linking Holmes to a confrontation with the police.
The latest round of bans were announced in Auckland on Friday afternoon after the QRL completed its investigation on the night in question.

Who's the snitch?

Like I said before the damage has been done well before any further suspensions were handed out

Yep, this is one that will be remembered for decades to come. People will say "where were you when it happened?"

It's pretty easy to ban players that were next to no chance at playing anyway. They will be eligible next year when they were more likely to be picked.

Now the NSWRL need to follow suit and come down hard on Pearce.

A life ban from Origin should do the trick nicely. :D

This episode has been surely been a purposeful attempt to deflect media attention from Mitchell Pearce. QLD power-brokers would know how pivotal Pearce's inclusion in the NSW Origin team is to QLD's winning aspirations. It was a canny move to instruct a group of Non-Origin players to 'muck up' in public and get charged by Police. Thanks to this brilliant piece of sleight of hand the headline hungry media pack have left Pearce alone for over a week. Thus taking the heat off the best asset that QLD have south of the border.

Kevvie, take a bow. It must have been hard to keep a straight face when the media scrum were chasing you for more details. Now Uncle Laurie can look at Pearce and say "At least there weren't eight for me to be apologising for". Laurie is not making noises like he wants to drop Pearce so the tactic just might have worked.

Through a slick bit of shifting attention, QLD may well have saved young Pearce's skin. Well played boys.

So now we have no other option but to pick Thurston & Cronk? This self imposed punishment has gone too far.

The QRL brass don't give the average NRL viewer much credit.
