England vs West Indies 3 Test Series 2017

For England, anyway.

Our 6, 7, 8 are better batsman then 3 of our top 5.

Scary.

I can't understand why England waste time on Westley, Jennings, Ballance (not sold on Malan) etc when the answers and the players are in front of them.
Root to 3, Bairstow up to 4 get him concentrate solely on his batting and his average should climb from 40. Ali to 5 and Buttler to 7 as keeper. They will score more then the fringe batsmen England have been dicking around with all summer.
Woakes up to 8 Broad 9. Good solid batting to 9 and the last spot either to a front line spinner when the wicket suits or another seamer to help out the aging Anderson who stays at 11.
That would surly be better than what they are doing now.

Poms recover and will win this test too. Barring a huge form reversal, they'll be confident of a good showing in Australia against our (mostly) awful batsmen

West Indies level the series with a great victory chasing 322 to win.

Shai Hope scores his second hundred of the match as they win by 5 wickets.

After the debacle of the first test rhey deserve every congratulations for the guts they showed in this test.

We bad. We so bad.

Forget Warner and Smith, even the likes of Khawaja and Plodscumb will thrash our quicks in Australia.

Australia will win easy.

As sure a thing as Floyd over Connor.

Really gritty performance from the Windies, hopefully they can build on this and get some real confidence throughout their whole squad.

And thats why I will be boycotting this years Ashes. We can't beat minnows at home and we have no hope of winning at one of the toughest places in cricket. 4 - 0 or 5 -0 easy to Australia.

3rd test

West Indies 123, Stokes 6/22.

England 4/46 in reply.

Stokes is a genuine allrounder not some bits and pieces plodder like we're selecting.

This English top order.... surely Stonedman, Weasley and Malan aren't even playing county cricket? Some of their techniques are.... well. Weird. They make Mark Lathwell, Steve James and Ronnie Irani look like world beaters. Absolute noobs.

Watching the highights, two things.

One, holy shit the umpires showed some nuts keeping play going for so long. It's deadset dark by the end of play and the lights have taken full effect.

Two, how the f**k did Jimmy Anderson not get hooked from the attack? There were literally almost a dozen deliveries where his foot was landing entirely within the red zone, he was blatantly running on the wicket and it took them forever to give him warnings for it.

Yeah, this series has presented more questions than it answers in regards to their batting. The fact remains, their lineup is most dangerous at 6-7-8 with Stokes, Bairstow and Moeen. Their actual batsmen have been shocking.

If Kemar Roach and Jason Holder are doing this to them in their own conditions, imagine what Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins will do on Gabba and WACA green tops.

The thing is...will we get anything resembling a greentop? Aussie wickets have been losing their unique characteristics for a while now. And the curators will know our rabble of a batting line-up will collapse in a heap several times this summer

England won by 9 wickets.

Jimmy Anderson with 7/43 in the Windies 2nd dig. He now has 501 test wickets.

Of those: 322 @ 24.41 with 19 five fors and 3 ten fors @ home.

Away: 179 @ 33.37 with 4 five fors and no ten fors.

Too bad you can't take English conditions with you Jimmy
