My only question is - why did it have to be someone other than the QRL ?

AN act of generosity has kitted players in the remote Cape York Rugby League with 10 new sets of jerseys.
Bringing a smile to 200 faces in the fanatical district, clothing manufacturer Triple Play decided to donate spare stock and give something back to the community.
A further two sets of jerseys were also given to the Yarrabah Seahawks, excitement machines of the Cairns and District Rugby League.
``Its something mainly for the kids of the area, Triple Play spokesman Peter Oversluizen said.
``Theres not a lot of money around in Cape York and we wanted to give the children something worthwhile to do.
``The response from the community has been great.
For 14 years Triple Play have worked with the Queensland Rugby League as a licensee, manufacturing an estimated 350,000 pieces of apparel.
Oversluizen believes it is mutually beneficial to help spread and promote rugby league across the State.
Having started the business with his wife after 15 years in the armed services, he now employs 24 people.
``I like to see junior rugby league grow in particular, said Oversluizen.
``We take an interest in building a relationship with communities and have always been of the mindset that you need to give something to get something.
``Not everything in this world is take, take, take.
Queensland Cup clubs outfitted by Triple Play are Easts and Souths-Logan.
