The problem with our forwards is obviously not the players. They got the job done at the start of the season.

I think the problem with our pack is the balance.

A modern day pack needs a combination of hard runners, offloaders and strong defenders. It also needs a mix of middle and edge forwards. Having an impact or strike forward doesn't hurt as well.

Packer, when healthy (and Im fairly sure hes carrying an injury) is our only hard runner.
Mats and Eiso are our offloaders and Lawrence and ET are our defenders.

In a perfect world you would have one of ET and Lawrence, as they are both similar players and both too small. We should play one, but not both.

We need at least one hard runner and a strike forward and that will bring everything together. It doesn't matter what numbers are on their backs, we just need players that can play a more specialised role within a more balanced pack.

Agree with everything you say except think it’s a bit unfair calling Lawrence just a defender. He’s been brilliant in every aspect this year.

Hey Vic.

I think with Rowdy, (and I love him) is that he shows effort every single game. You can never call this guy out for not putting in. And he looks better than he is, because the others are coasting.

He's spent his entire career with him and hes a local and played (one game) for Australia, but he doesn't make most other starting 13s.

I so wish we had a pack that carried the ball as vigorously as rowdy does.Geez rowdy punches above his weight in both attack & his 1 on 1 defence How the f**k he isn’t the sole captain of the team is incomprehensible. This sharing the captaincy around a no. of players most of whom don’t have a shred of leadership attributes is absurd.

To put things in perspective re what rowdy means to this rabble his sublime performance at the 8th wonder 2 wks ago was a man of the match performance in a team comprehensively beaten by an avg side.

He’d undoubtedly make every NRL teams 17 & the impact he would provide off the bench would b invaluable particularly playing outside of a brilliant 6 or 7.

He is a great player. We need to sign him up for another couple of years. He is just starting to get his game on the edge together and it's exactly what we need. A fast edge forward who has some skill (ball playing and even short kicking game) but runs it hard and his defence has been really good.

He should be our no 1 captain and should have been from the start of the year.

I really think you’re selling him short here. Rowdy has been our best player nearly every week. The way he is playing he would make every 17 and probably every 13 bar the Dragons.

He runs the tough line, is great in defence and this year has shown a good pass. Both tries we scored v the Titans were set up by him. First one with a great short ball to Kev and second one after he put the massive hit on Taylor who lost the ball which we scored a long range try off.

If we had 2 Rowdy’s we’d be sitting a lot prettier then we are now. Good thing is Garner looks a very similar player to him (is also a converted center).

We had a rookie 2nd rower called nightingale play most of last week against the storm..

He looks like a premiership winner to me..

Yes Flo Rinse was pretty ordinary wasnt he in the pigs.
But on the wing he loves scoring plenty of tries against us marking up on Nofa.....Even a hat trick a few years ago...Hes a certainty to score at least 1 on Sunday
