what a difference he made. spread the ball at the right times, looked dangerous, and overall inspired his team as much as he could.

I agree.

No need to change much from this game. It was always going to be tough playing them up there with the disjointed preperation and the suprise selection of Sean Hampstead for Queensland in #18

I didn't notice any marked difference. He was very solid in defence, but in attack I thought he was a little too keen on the inside ball. He should have been looking wider more often.

Give me Timmins, if he is fit

Freddie started well, but could not keep up in the second half

I thought he played very well. His defence was tops and he did nothing wrong it attack. Can attack better but is a better 5/8 than anyone else around.

Please.

We saw what happens with Timmins in the 6 in Game One. Everyone gets bored shitless. He is a great player, and needs to be in the team, but Fittler offers so much more at five-eighth.

Fitler was ok, but didn't have his best game. I'd like to see a fresh Barrett in the number 6, he had a great game last week.

No one is saying Timmins doesnt deserve a spot. There is just no way he deserves the 6 while other candidates with the full compliment of limbs are available. The game doesn't need a five eigth who passes twice in a game. It needs a legend lock who barges over and kicks 35 metre golden point field goals. Timmins can be that man, but not at the expense of Freddy and co.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see Hill or even Anasta as the starting 5/8, but people who attempt to make the point that Timmins only passed twice only a few times must realise he may have started with number 6 on his back, but only played in that position for a few minutes before moving to the second row / lock.

Leaving us with no 5/8. Therein lies the problem. Fittler for Origin 3.

Indeed, having a utility player such as Wing fill the role at 5/8 like he did in game one, once the opening period has elapsed and Timmins has moved into a more forward role, is a poor option; Fittler tonight proved a specialist 5/8 is worth their weight in gold, either he, Hill or Anasta should be selected for game three. Timmins shall wear the 13.

Fittler was nothing more than average out there. He, along with Finch, created nothing for the outside backs. And made no line breaks themselves.

Scotty Prince and Locky outplayed them by a mile.
