"Putting on the ritz" by Taco

Honestly - "The End" by the Doors, it would bring their music to a whole new generation, would be a kick ass way to go out, and would bore a lot of people because they can't stand 11min songs

It would be trippy to have there but its true most people wont stay at your funeral but it has to be in the top 5 of greatests songs

Burn Baby Burn (Disco Inferno) - The Tramps.

No seriously, this is a great thread, and I'd like "Death Is Not The End" the version with Nick Cave and Shane McGowen.

That or Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer singing Redemption Song

Good choices, although I'd be perfectly happy with Marley's version of "Redeption Song"

The Crystal Ship - The Doors - "Deliver me from reasons why... you'd rather cry... I'd rather fly"
Let it Be - The Beatles "And when the night is cloudy, There is still a light that shines on me, Shine on until tomorrow, Let It Be. I wake up to the sound of music Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, Let It Be."

Or for a bit more depressing touch:
Fire and Rain - James Taylor
Dust in the Wind - Kansas:
"I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
[Now] Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind.

I'll just wait until I get upstairs and get a live version.

I'd go for "Sick Bed of Cuchullain" by the Pogues:

"Then you sing a song of liberty for blacks and Paks and Jocks
And they take you from this dump you're in and stick you in a box
They take you to Cloughprior and shove you in the ground
But you stick your head back out and shout
Let's have another round!"

James Taylor's Fire and Rain for me.
Or Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum (from the Remember the Titans soundtrack) for something a bit more cheery.
